I hope he will not leave it like that because many of the concrete roads he did in abakaliki now have cracks which make driving uncomfortable. Asphalt overlay is still the best dressing for roads.
Dont mind people who comment on pictures without visiting to experience the real situation....there's nothing unique and solid about all the concrete roads constructed in ebonyi, there were poorly done...a good example of concrete road is that done along oshodi express way in lagos.

ALL runways have a concrete base.
You dey mind am? He doesn't know there are concrete roads and runways that are left as they are in concrete, while others are further covered in asphalt. Based on the road dynamics they trying to achieve.

That's why when the asphalt of 3rd mainland opens up, you see concrete underneath.

Ashphalt makes for a smoother, quieter drive.

Ok naa. All of them wants to abandon the roads in their poor states and be flying. If its possible for them to build airstrips in their villages, they will do it.

Gov Umahi will leave a very big shoe that may be very difficult for whoever is coming after him to fill

We the South Easterners are proud of him

But you see gov Ugwuanyi, ha God go punish am. You can imagine celebrating building one flyover

Then you see Hope Uzodimma and Okezie Ikpeazu, they will surely pay for their sins
He is building one flyover in Enugu when Umahi is about to commission his 15th flyover projects in Ebonyi. Enugu is in a wrong hand. Too bad

The whole south east can comfortably enter kogi state but south east currently has four airports while kogi state has none
Re: Pictures As Ebonyi International Airport Takes Shape by biroo: 2:18pm On Feb 11, 2022
Nice one, really makes sense, but no be just to build, I hope the maintenance culture is kept once it's completed
Re: Pictures As Ebonyi International Airport Takes Shape by Tomek09(op): 2:21pm On Feb 11, 2022
Why Umahi has been embarking on numerous projects in Ebonyi, South-East is that cost of construction in the State is way cheaper due to availability of raw materials needed for the project. Ebonyi has concrete (chippings), stone, limestone (cement), granite etc in abundance. The State government won't have to purchase them. They only pay site Engineers, Labourers and Architects handling the project. Such can't be said in other State because cost of materials alone will swallow half of ur budget.

Do you know that Dave Umahi is building two new universities in Ebonyi State? Do you know what that will do to the state academically and jobs to be created?

Do you know the job he is to create with the new technology investment in the state?

Maybe you haven't heard that he wants to create a research center for information technology too

That is what we call visionary leader and not shitty rural development you talked about
U call rural development.. Shitty?..
Toh..
Go and visit ebonyi state..aside abakaliki..

By d way ...no one is being skeptical about Dave's performances... H

Asphalt can still be laid if necessary.

so building white elephant projects is now the measure of good governance?

Do u think ebonyi needs that airport or the 9 flyover umahi is building...

Ugwuanyi has relatively addressed the needs of the people especially the rural communities...ugwuanyi has really opened up rural communities..built several rural roads.. Conducted electrification projects in several towns that Lacked power ...all these is want addresses the needs and changes the situation of the common man...

Most of umahi's project including the mall ,airport and flyover have very little impact On the average ebonyian...it is worthy of emulation though...
Please if you want to discredit Umahi, you can do so without using it as an opportunity to eulogize that worthless excuse for a governor we have in Enugu state.
Same bullshit about rural development. It’s either you’re one of his henchmen or you’ve been swallowing tons of his dumb propaganda.

What's with South East governors and their obsession with building airport, it's like they are doing competition with each other.

The fact that Abia state is the only one among them that didn't join in the airport building competition is yet another proof of how useless Gov Ikpeazu actually is.

The funny thing about leadership is that after having a good leader, his successor may be a complete nonentity. It has happened in Enugu, Cross River, Delta, etc. I hope it doesn't happen to Ebonyi.

When it comes to infrastructure, Dave Umahi is only in competition with himself. That's why more engineers need to join politics. May God bless Dave.
His successor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru will consolidate on the efforts of Dave Umahi.

Good job
The problem in Nigeria is dat, ds project might cost #1billion but contractor will inflate it to #3billion because even d governor will hv his share from the project.
It's better , than pocketing the 3 billion

Willie Obiano will put a few street lights on a flyover and be celebrating with media fanfare. Dave Umahi has turned his entire state to a construction site and complete a very large amount of quality projects with dozens more in the pipeline with no fanfare or media circus.
I am so excited about what he is ding in Ebonyi.

How I wish he becomes the next president of the country.

People ask how Umahi is affording to complete so much quality projects, just look and see how he is saving money by using bamboo instead of expensive scaffolding.

This airport may be the biggest airport in Africa , it will become a hub for international flights that why Umahi is building dozens of quality roads and flyovers , because of expected dramatic increase in traffic once the airport opens.

Lagos remains the only truly international airport in the south, but Umahi's Ebonyi International airport, would quickly become preferred destination for International flights because it would have a bigger capacity than Lagos.

This Airport project won't only boost the economy of Ebonyi state, it would boost the economy of the entire South East and SS.
