This is different, but please make I put here @op Dear All Good day. I am Idris, a 29-year-old Nigerian. And as a citizen of this country that strongly wishes to see fairness and justice thrive, I write to draw your attention to the dubious charges the National Population Commission seating on Number 17 Lingu Crescent has made many Nigerians pay. I learnt of this corrupt practice when I visited this branch for my attestation of birth. I paid the mandatory 2000 naira via remita.net, and I attached the necessary affidavit of statutory of age declaration which I earlier got at the Federal High Court in Abuja. Despite fulfilling all official requirements, I was denied the opportunity of having my attestation of birth since I refused to pay the dubious 500 naira administrative charges, one that attracts no receipts. I urge this organisation to report this corrupt practice being peddled by the NPC. Thank you for reading and for any help you can render me Best regards, Idris |

Wawu I've not heard about this. Flickwheel is a car loan company that car owners can take loans and pay back installmentally. They don't treat their employees this way though |

6. It is not your Job to get people to pay their loans. That job belongs to the courts not you. Stop letting your employers oppress you. Quite that useless job now and stop letting them pressure you and make it seem it is your job to get the loans recovered.HardMirror, you're wrong about this. The long and short of your thread is about 'LOAN RECOVERY OFFICERS'. Perhaps, what you have said is true, particularly to those who work with those petty Chinese loan companies but the story is different for some institutions such as RenMoney and a few special loan recovery companies. There are debt recovery officers in almost every sector, that offer either loans or postpaid services. Whether loan or debt recovery, their functions are pretty much the same and their KPIs are almost generally the same. That said, their pay is pretty much decent because they get periodic commissions and some bonuses. I have a couple of close people who work as debt recovery officers and their conditions are pretty much good for their level. IT IS NOT THE PREROGATIVE OF THE COURT TO RECOVER LOANS OR DEBTS. Prolonged debts at some point are sent to the legal unit of organisations who then begin the legal processes while some are totally written off and referred to as 'bad debts'. Those in the latter class are totally written off and forgotten. |

Sanchez01:I appreciate comments like this. Thanks for the education. But I think loan recovery officers working for the "petty" chinese loan companies are allowing a lot of abuse from their bosses |

HardMirror:You're welcome, chief. Chinese companies operating in Nigeria are ridiculous save their tech companies. The ones in manufacturing & productions, fintech/finance, jewellery, sales, construction and mining, etc, adore slave labour and treat their staff poorly. Their working conditions are so terrible that toxicity and abuse of all kinds are seen and regarded as normal. |
