I wholeheartedly support the position of the elders. A nigerian President of Igbo extraction is the goal, nothing much nothing less. |

EmirGold:Nonsense. What an entitlement mentality When they were busy insulting all regions they forgot that one day they will make demand from them. Make I see how their open eye go give them Presidency. Foolish sets of people |

PrinceOfLagos:You should be worried for your people in Abia being terrorised by Ipob rather. If u haven't been away for too long, hiding yourself comfortably in Lagos, you would have understood the condition of Abia as we speak. |

Let us be honest there is no way the north will allow an igbo president for now , maybe 32 years from now , the igbo will take it as a slap on both cheeks for a south west to produce the next president. The North seeing all these rancour between the east and west may just settle for a consensus candidate power may shift to the south-south. |

Echoban:In as much as I cant even think Tinubu even if I am Yoruba, he is still not in anyway related to the article. You dont expect anyone to be considering a man of certain age despite the ordeal Nigerian are going through with the current. |

AnanseK:I did not make the statement so you cannot correct me. I am just educating you. You are the one that needs to be humble and stop correcting people upandan. Correct yourself. Nigerian English is a legitimate genre with its own DNA. If you did not know that before today go and research it and take your own advice. BE HUMBLE |

Any Igbo politician that should accept the VP slot must be ostracised from Igbo land. No second fiddle will be played this time. It is either APC and PDP zone their ticket to the South East or prepare for the dissolution of the useless union of death, misery and destruction called Nigeria. |

Walkee:Then Nigeria as you know it, comes to an end. The choice is Nigerians. No one is forcing you to vote for the Igbos. No one will force the Igbos to remain in Nigeria beyond 2023, if an Igboman is not the president. I know IPOB will even not want an Igbo president come 2023. This action will unite the IPOB artisans with the upper class of Igbo society. If an Igboman cannot be the Nigerian president, then an Igboman cannot be a Nigerian. Simple and short. |
| Re: 2023: South East Must Produce Next President, Igbo Elders Insist by onuman: 9:47am On Feb 17, 2022 |
christistruth01:Once you bring IPOB into the discourse of Igbo presidency of Nigeria in 2023, you think you have dampened the chances of an Igbo succeding president Buhari. Oduduwa Nation agitators are as determined also. There are also separatist groups in the Middle belt. It's either an Igbo succeeds president Buhari, or Igbo restore their Biafra from Nigeria. Injustice kills a country. |

nedzuby:Were you foolish set off people when you received same entitlement in 1999 two entitled Westerners 2015 two entitled Northerners?? What affects most common bl8k people is ethnic sense of amnesia...that's why Africa has been fighting wars...even clearly avoidable ones. |
| Re: 2023: South East Must Produce Next President, Igbo Elders Insist by Walkee: 9:53am On Feb 17, 2022 |
OfoIgbo:that's a good thing because nobody is voting for them normally so they should start relocating back to their regions now. I don't want to see fools in front of my house, far away from their region telling me that they want freedom as if I'm holding them. Start relocating now |
| Re: 2023: South East Must Produce Next President, Igbo Elders Insist by Eastlink(m): 9:54am On Feb 17, 2022 |
TheAlchemist:Did we tell you we want the President? The south-south is not selfish. GEJ our son ruled for 6 years, let the south-east take their slot. We'll gladly support them. South-East for President is a goal. |

The only difference betwen the northern leaders and eastern leaders is that eastern leaders are not serious...by now they should have been visiting Washigton, Rome, London and Geneva for talks.. But here they are just making noise... See how the northerners did it when they wanted to remove Jona....and it worked for them. The eastern leaders need international diplomacy... https://www.nairaland.com/3420114/northern-governors-visit-us-elicited/2

| Re: 2023: South East Must Produce Next President, Igbo Elders Insist by Walkee: 9:57am On Feb 17, 2022 |
Essence20:who is resisting them? They're the ones trooping out of their region to different parts of the country yet they're the same people crying we don't want to let them go as if anybody invited them or is stopping them from going. They should start relocating back to region now, tell all their tribesmen in political positions to resign and come back home let's see if they will not get Biafra in less than a month |
