Taika Waititi being a big name director is debatable, while he's quite popular, I doubt he's in that elite number of directors that can sell projects with just their names..

As for Ghost in the shell being a flop, she opened a movie likewise so many other stars opening movies and sometimes, they flop..
You wanted me to list her projects and I did, go watch them to determine how good or bad they are....

This argument is because you somehow included Robbie and Gal in a conversation with ScarJo, they can be considered when they both earn stars in Hollywood..

Me stating when I knew some actors necessarily doesn't mean they ain't popular back then. I just mentioned it in passing.
Yep. Back then my genre of movies wasn't all encompassing as of now. Besides I was a kid.

Also, we are discussing movies or TV box office performance or success in relation to the stars. Not how good or bad a movie was. Moreover, if I had the chance I'd watch most of the aforementioned artists work.

Taika isn't the big block buster director or actor but a reputable auteur artist. Not everyone's name gonna be associated with big mega success, but there are some people who their work speaks for them and will have the audience attention.

Nope. It just means they're now in the spotlight, and if done right, we may end up getting a JL vs suicide squad movie or a Cadmus storyline with Waller trying to take down the JL alongside some corrupt politicians. I mean, peace maker could be setting up some interesting storyline ahead.

Considering that Freddie Stroma wasn't even the first choice, he did an outstanding job portraying Peacemaker's version of Vigilante.

But the thing is, Suicide Squad was meant to be a secret program, so how will that be possible if they're public considering the controversies, both International and national, that will cause.

Besides, doesn't that rule out the objective of the Suicide Squad, which is to carry out dirty operations for the US government?

For me, I think, they'll only be rebranded. For the meantime, the govt will put a stop to it but when the need for who to carry out their dirty jobs arises, they will have no choice but to revive it but under another monicker for e.g, like a special ops Dept of ARGUS, with Amanda Waller of course in charge

The US govt will just deny and cover up the allegations

The Flashpoint might erase that particular event, I'm not talking about the entire Peacemaker event but that particular Task Force X exposure event.

Who knows, till post Flashpoint or then but there's a lot of possibilities.

Henry Cavill is an A-list Star alright.
There are different kind of A-list artists. Some who are huge box office draws and some who their talent, works and reputation defines them. And there are some, the dying breed who got all specs.

Just like the Demon Slayer TV show, I'll divide it thus: Upper Class A-list & Lower Class A-list. Cavill belongs to the later.

The Witcher is a BIG franchise. You might not know it before u saw Cavill but it is. It's like saying Game of Thrones won't be big enough to sell itself if Cavill didn't join. It will be big nonetheless so far it's done well, over a period of time. That was how GOT built itself even tho literally everyone was an unknown back then.

The Witcher already had a substantial fantasy following with the books. The gaming audience already made it way more popular and successful.
So no. Whether Cavill was in it or not it would still be BIG eventually. His appearance serves as a plus and big promotion but not the sole cause of its success.
