Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Krasid(m): 7:34am On Mar 16, 2015
Marvel sucks.DC universe is the real deal.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Guykhena(m): 9:08am On Mar 16, 2015
lol,one question tho,,which DC universe? Something not 'yet' in existence, and in which the movie that was used to kickstart the universe was a failure and a bad depict of the star character(turning a fun, loving character into a dark psychotic murderer),and you think marvel is the one who sucks? Ha what a laugh...........
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by sage1000: 11:58pm On Mar 18, 2015
Krasid this you hate for DC ehn. The kickstart movie as you call it was not a failure, it is way better than the kickstart movie of the MCU in terms of box office gross and the movies are only going to get better. It is also difficult to take your opinion of the character seriously, "dark psychotic murderer" are you for real?
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by moneyallowed(m): 5:25am On Mar 19, 2015
My most anticipated MCU movies are Dr Strange and Cap America 3:Civil War.They are both due next year so I just wish we could skip 2015 and all the Avengers hype.Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D seriously disappointed me so I dunno if I'll be watching MCU series anytime soon.Daredevil and Agent Carter both had nice trailers but I have being deceived before. Never again!
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by JUHABACH: 7:34am On Mar 19, 2015
Guykhena:it seems we both saw different movies
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Guykhena(m): 9:05am On Mar 19, 2015
No,actually it was the same movie, except you're saying your fanboyism blinded you from the fact that unfolded right in the movie?.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by moneyallowed(m): 9:23am On Mar 19, 2015
Guykhena:Err what movie are we referring to here?
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by JUHABACH: 1:37pm On Mar 19, 2015
how exactly was the movie a failure when it made over 600 million dollars (more successful than any marvel origin movie barring GOTG).
and how exactly was that a bad depiction of superman?
what made him a "dark psychotic muderer".
ws it when he saved those oil workers on the rig?
when he saved a bus full of children while risking exposure?
all the times he saved lois?
or when he chose he s adopted homeworld over his own people and saved everyone frm potential annialation at the hands of the world engine?
how about when he sacrificed his morality and killed zod who not only put an innocent family in immediate danger but had sworn to murder everyone of the planet?
pls be specific.

moneyallowed:man of steel
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by moneyallowed(m): 2:44pm On Mar 19, 2015
JUHABACH:Thanks for the clarification. I didn't like Man of Steel but I don't think it was a failure either. In terms of the box office it certainly didn't fail. If you meant it in terms of the creative direction they took Superman then I agree with you. Batman doesn't kill his enemies for a good reason. Even at his darkest point in the Dark Knight Trilogy he still didn't kill anyone and he's supposed to be the most amoral member of Justice League. So making Supes that dark doesn't make sense to me.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by moneyallowed(m): 2:51pm On Mar 19, 2015
JUHABACH:Marvel made a solid unspectacular start to their MCU when they made Iron Man. That movie is 10 years old but I enjoyed it when i watched it again recently. DC chose to start in a spectacularly controversial way with Man of Steel and somehow I don't think that movie will still be worth watching in a decade's time.
That aside which of DC's current movie slate are you most excited about? I personally think Sucide Squad will be great. Batman Vs Superman I'm not sure about. I already hate the title
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by JUHABACH: 3:06pm On Mar 19, 2015
1)i m pretty sure batman killed miranda tate. he also didnt mind letting ras al ghul die and seemed alright with catwoman killing bane.
2)superman killing does not in anyway make him dark. besides, its not like he had anyother choice.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by JUHABACH: 3:09pm On Mar 19, 2015
1)personally i enjoyed MOS more than any other marvel movie barring captain america TWS. it s not that i m biased or anything. i just really hate the slap stick comedy that almost all marvel movies have become.
2) i m most excited for batman v superman. i really cant wait to see even a trailer.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by moneyallowed(m): 3:12pm On Mar 19, 2015
JUHABACH:please remind me who miranda is again, I can't remember. As for RAG and Bane, yeah. In his words " I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you". Big difference there.
About Superman you have to admit this version of him is darker than what we are used to and there is always a choice.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by JUHABACH: 3:38pm On Mar 19, 2015
1)miranda tate was ras al ghul 's daughter. the mastermind behind bane. Also in my books, failing to save someone whom you had the capability of saving is as good as killing him.
also wasnt batman responsible for harvey dent's death?
2) the version wasnt dark. it was more grounded/realistic. it was basically an imperfect superman which personally appealled more to me.
and you re right. there was a choice. either let the innocent family die and put millions (potentially billions) at risk or he could kill zod and end it all in one move.
looks like he made the right choice to me.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Guykhena(m): 4:47pm On Mar 19, 2015
When we are talking about ,success and failure, a cheesy mentality would think about it financially ,and indispicably neglecting it "critically."(That's what you doing btw),but let's play your game,,for such an A-List superhero(well known by the mainstream audience),to make 600mill? and you term it successfull?its a big blow to its face.. And a movie about characters basically unknown starring a talking racoon and a tree became a box office hit? Both financially and with critics,in which its world wide box office gross made MOS so called "success" look like a child play, and you didn't feel any bit of shame to admit it?
Or when he destroyed the whole of smallville?
Speaking about oil rigs, bcus of his psychotic nature in which he used Zod as a playfest to destroy government properties? And not even feeling remorse,as it was shown right at the end in which he destroyed a satelite worth millions of dollars right in front of the general, and even making a joke about it?.
How funny it is,you conveniently ignoring the part in which his foster dad Jonathan Kent BLOODY told him,he should have LET THE CHILDREN IN THE BUS DIE? I repeat DIE? Ah Lord, just in the name of him not revealing his powers,,and his psychotic dad was true to his words as seen restricting his own son from saving him from death at the tornado?. Wow,this movie was fun,
All the times? Pls tell me this is fanboyism at work...
I think you're speaking straight from the source material irrespective of the fact the movie wasn't true to it at all,,
In which superman rather save his girl from falling and completely neglecting the millions of people getting crushed by falling buildings?
Sacrificed his morality? More like sacrificed his common sense,,, I mean common almighty superman who could lift trains with a finger, would have easily flew Zod away from there by grabbing him.,but no Zack Snyder wanted Superman to be a nightmare to kids, and had him break him his number rule of conduct by committing murder in his reboot and origin story? If you say this movie was a success then my friend this fanboyism blindness at work...
Don't get me wrong I love superman but MOS wasn't it at all...
This was specific enough?
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by JUHABACH: 5:15pm On Mar 19, 2015
1)whether you like it or not,MOS was a success both financially and critcally. it only got lower ratings as most critics were divided.
as for bringing up GOTG, you forget that the movie already had the backing of the MCU which has already established a fanbase. it s no strange that it made more money than MOS which was basically setting a foundation.
2)he did not destroy smallville. that was the kryptonians he was battling and even the milatary by intefering only caused more damage. get your facts straight.how exactly did he use zod as a playfest to destroy govt property.
btw what he destroyed at the end was a drone which the govt sent to spy on him. he was trying to warn them against that. he has a right to his privacy
2)he s father never told him to let the children on the bus die. he s father just didnt have all the answers i.e. he was actually human. he was afraid that if clark had continued to display he s powers, he would lose his son to the govt. a perfectly logical fear. its why he sacrificed his life rather than let clark save him. to give clark a chance at a regular life.
3)pls point out these "millions of people" clark COULD HAVE but failed to save.
4)you forget that zod could do EVERYTHING clark could do. heck clark was struggling just to hold him in place and suddenly you expect clark to just pull extra strength out of his a** and fly zod who despite having the upper hand in a grapple, he could barely hold!?
but lets assume clark saved that family, then what?
zod could not be contained or pacified. more people would have died since the battle would have continued indefinately.

as for you last point about "loving superman", thats a steaming pile of BS.
you re probably one of those who watch the christopher reeve movies and suddenly you consider yourself an authority on the character.
no offence, but people like you disgust me.

Feeling disgusted? Now you know how I felt watching the movie.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by sage1000: 11:46pm On Mar 19, 2015
Okay first of all let me point you to other A-list Superheroes on their first outings Batman Begins which made only 374 million, Iron Man made 585 million and Captain America made 370 million so Man of steel making over 650 million is not a big blow to the face.
As for critically, the movie itself is very polarizing as critics either loved the movie and its take or absolutely hated it, both for very valid reasons so I won't bother arguing with you on the movie's critical performance as we will never agree.
Enough of DC, the thread here says MCU. For the future movies I'm really looking forward to Captain America: Civil War. It has the potential to be the most awesome MCU movie as the storyline it is borrowing from is pretty awesome and who isn't looking forward to Iron Man vs Captain America. The addition of Spider-man to the franchise in that movie is just the icing on the cake
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Guykhena(m): 1:08am On Mar 20, 2015
Then what was the reason stating the above? *A bit confused*.
It hasn't been confirmed yet if spidey would be in civil war(due to the late arrangements),I mean an actor hasn't even been cast yet(are we getting a Miles Morales or Peter Parker spidey? A question not answered yet),and the filming of civil war starts just april here. Even if spidey would be in the movie, it would be just a cameo,I doubt he would have any influence on the storyline.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Guykhena(m): 1:36am On Mar 20, 2015
Btw,y'all check out this newly released Age Of Ultron Tv spot teaser.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by moneyallowed(m): 9:11am On Mar 20, 2015
sage1000:Same here, civil war will be awesome. I think it's almost certain spidey will be in it. What I wonder is if and when the winter soldier/Bucky will take up the mantle of captain america. Or will it be Falcon? Crossbones survived from winter soldier too; another feud to look forward to.
