After his humiliation in Osun today in Osun by Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Rauf Aregbesola has now discovered he is nothing politically without Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. The only little relevance he enjoys now is being a Minister in Buhari’s cabinet which will end next year (that is if Buhari’s doesn't sack him before then). Whether Tinubu wins presidential election or not, i see Aregbesola crawling back to him and asking for forgiveness like his friends Musiliu Obanikoro, Femi Pedro, Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Adeseye Ogunlewe and others whom Tinubu forgave. Mark my words

But what's our business if Aregbe begs or not? Some of you guys can't breathe or live a reasonable life after surrendering your essence to Tinubu... |

What you failed to see is that with Aregbe dividing the ApC in osun, it is a sure victory for PDP...You know that APC didn't win the last election... The Aregbe factor in the coming months is just the Joker card PDP needs to knockoff APC.. |

BERNIMOORE:You have no business jumping to comment on this thread if you have no business with Aregbe begging. Nobody forced you to open the thread and nobody forced you to comment. Get the fvck out of the kitchen if it’s too hot for you. |

BERNIMOORE:There is no division in Osun APC. If some of you have sense, you should have deduced the obvious from toddy’s election. Over 90% of APC members voted for Oyetola. So, where is the division? |

I think the Original Poster is in a hurry to reach a conclusion on this matter. I’d say let us wait and see. Recall the same elections in Osun that brought in Oyetola in 2018 was marred with controversy and accusations of underhand practices. Matter of fact the election was initially inconclusive, before a run off was conducted in certain LGAs where it was rumored that MC Oluomo and his boys later came to intimidate voters. It was a razor thin victory for APC, even with a united front at the time. What do you think will happen in 2022? Time will tell - but I wouldn’t be too quick to reach a conclusion. |

BERNIMOORE:if you are a keen follower of politics you will understand that oyetola almost lost the last election because of aregbe's incompetency while in office. |

geezville86:It was close firstly because of aregbe's below par performance, secondly osun people were still emotional because of isiaka's death lastly lagos interferance, they see oyetola as a lagos boy. As at today, oyetola good works is speaking for him. |

Like someone said earlier today, this could be a political game cos I am yet to see where the real disappointment came from within Tinubu, Aregbesola and Oyetola.. |

geezville86:Let me educate u a bit. The thing that happened 2018 is likely not to repeat itself. This is because of the following; 1.Oyetola has improved in Aregbeshola's lapses which is non payment of salary(affected the election most). Now the workers and pensioners are happy with Oyetola. 2. Power of imcubency; Oyetola is the one running for the election, so he would do everything possible to return unlike when u are preparing for the transition. 3. Power rotation formula; the senatorial district where power is to return after Oyetola's 4yrs can poor out their votes in order for them to return to power after 4yrs than waiting for eight yrs. 4. Omisere's factor; now that Omisere is in the same camp with Oyetola, the votes he ganard during last election will now be for Oyetola, coupled with his thuggery nature. 5. Jagaban and FG effects; this comprises both money, popularity and power of the duo, especially for the sake of 2023 election. Few contenders; as u know, the higher the number of contenders in the primary, the more volatile the party. So in conclusion, worse come to worst, Oyetola will bag two senatorial districts which returns him to the govt house for another 4yrs. |
