There are a thousand things we can point at to say are the problems of politics in African Countries, such as Ghana, Nigeria, etc
  Some Folks say it's the aftermath of colonial rule or neocolonial influence, but any nation can be the best on earth if the right things are done.
  In the book From Third world country to first world country; the author tried to let us know that what transforms a country are the establishment of strong systems and strong institutions that keep individuals in check.

Late Ghanian ex President, General Jerry Rawlings once said that if strong systems are built; even if the Devil becomes President, such systems will keep him in check.
   In a situation where the system is weak, even a Saint will get corrupted by the amount of laxity. Who wouldn't lose it when he or she can do whatever and no one can confront him or her about the matter.
  In countries like South Africa where the system is quite as strong as it should be, We'll have all political Jacob Zumas refrigerate in jail for touching funds they shouldn't use for personal luxuries and gratifications.
  Why don't we have that kind of system here and yet in Nigeria, and many more African countries?
  Some African countries are beginning to revert to Military rulership because the level of corruption availed to democratic leadership is enough to drive the likes of Pythagoras, Socrates, Sophocles etc "Crazy!"

Here are some of the problems with African politics that we need to address to improve and fast track the development of Africa.

1. Too much privileges and benefits of being a Politician:
   Let me start with my own career as an example. I'm a Teacher, and in the year 2023 by God's Grace i'll be celebrating 20 years of being a Teacher.
  I'm still a Teacher, I will continue to teach till my last breathe because it's what I'm naturally called or wired to do. No matter the pay package, large or small, quitting isn't an option because teaching is what I love to do.
  The same case should come to play in Politics.
  I know a lot of my colleagues who've dropped the chalk and diverted to other careers because teaching wasn't just their thing!
  I've come to several stops in my career when dropping the chalk was what I'd have done if I didn't have a passion for the work.
(That doesn't mean that if you wish to employ me and would gladly not pay me, I would lie down and allow you use me as your bureaucratic door mat, nah...I won't do that. Thanks).

We need to have Politicians who want to be in politics for the love of it, not for the money.

If teaching was an occupation that was over rewarded or over funded, lots of thugs, rapscallions and psychopaths will pick up chalks and teach our children "utter garbage"
Just as politics in Africa is full of thugs, rapscallions and psychopaths!

2. Immunity or no punishment of lawless actions:  In criminology or criminal psychology it is said that a criminal or offender that does receive a QUALITATIVE CLAPBACK for a crime he or she commits becomes bolder and commits more crimes that are worse than the previous ones they've commited.
  In American Serial Killer trials, investigations and arrests, you'll notice that the more the serial killer got away with one murder, the worse the next murder he/she commits becomes.
  Why? Because not getting a quality and I repeat "quality clapback" makes a criminal become more bold and more confident with their crime.
  That's why God gives us his Sons sufficient strokes of the cane each time we try disobedience for once. That's why when politicians or political rulers loot and plunder their own people dry and absolutely nothing happens it not only encourages them to plunder more next time, the effect is spiral. It is a way of telling young people that the only way to be successful is to steal. That's why internet fraud appeals to African youths, that's why ritual murder now appeals to African youths, Kidnapping, all kinds of vices that even destroy the bright future of those who engage in them become appealing and attractive because older folks do the same and absolutely nothing happens.
  If Youths live in a Country where Jacob Zumas are sent to refrigerate in jail for stealing public funds, they'll learn from what happened to Jacob Zuma that stealing isn't the right way to a bright future.
  That way we can have less pension funds that should reward hardworking senior citizens who have served the nation since their youth vanish into an individual account, or get swallowed by a snake or that third example my beloved African brothers and sisters hate to hear.
   I remember the story of a boy who got excited at the sight of a brand new sharp cutlass his father bought. He took the cutlass and went about beheading every animal he saw.
His parents did absolutely nothing, hoping that he'll get tired of beheading every animal he set sight upon. However the more he beheaded each animal, the more excited he became until all animals in the village lost their heads. When he noticed that there were no more animal to behead, he turned to the Humans and started beheading them, starting with his parents first!
  So the solution lies in having that Child flogged properly when he beheads the first animal before he sees beheading humans as an appealing hobby!
I hope you understand and don't misunderstand that.

3. Political monopoly:
It is unhealthy for a forest to have only two trees. If a forest only has two trees, is it still fit to be called a forest?
It's better to call it a two trees taungya farm instead of a forest.
What's the use of having multiple political parties when only two or three political parties really has the clout. In fact one of the three political parties has a chicken as it's logo. Okay, it's not a chicken, it's a Rooster aka "Cock"

Guys, ensure that no one adds "Roach" to our Cock! Lols

4. Youth incapacitation for nefarious utility:
He should've become a civil engineer, but he's a weed bibing thug for a corrupr politician, she should be a Pharmacy professor like Late Professor Dora Akunyili, but she's the side chick of a political parasite. Plus plenty more and more who are pink eyed ballot box snatching miscreants instead of nation builders in their various business places and careers! One Guy cannot build a nation. It would take a million more of youths who'd become like him to change, transform and develop Africa. He can't do it alone.

So on this note I wish to start by respectfully making a request to all Governors in Nigeria to do me a favour:

" Provide 100,000 Thugs from each state in Nigeria (male and female) including the Capital Territory and I will transform them into Nation Builders."

A Medical Doctor should be an expert in Health matters not Labour issues, in as much as I like Ex. US President; Donald J. Trump for his sound business and wealth creation advises and suggestions, I think he didn't do one thing right by making Ben Carson M.D Minister of Labour instead of Minister of Health.
Sacking Comey, may also have been a fatal error but those who sit in the hot seat of First City Monument Bank need our prayers.

6. Stomach politics:
This time, I will have to turn from the leaders to You the readers of this article. Your Future is more important than a bag of rice.
If let a psychopath enter into the government house because he threw nyloned rice at you like a hungry dog during their political campaigns, your complaining and suffering will continue.
I you don't want that, try the alternative. Na right hand I dey use dey point.

7. Mass Nihilism/Cynicism:
You can't effect the outcomes of an election by either sitting at home watching tv on the election day or playing felele ball on the empty express way.
What do they call that type of ball playing by the way?
You can't change your country by playing felele ball on the empty expressway on election day.
Go and vote, then play the felele ball after the right leaders are in the right offices in your country and in your states.

8. Spiritual Drainage:
Last but not the least, let us ensure that we pray for our countries.
In Nigeria, I'm recommending that a Gospel Deliverance Festival be held in National Theatre to reverse the demonic spell released into the nation during FESTAC 77 in the same location.

Just as Jesus appeared to a Woman first freshly after his resurrection. The Woman had the first sip of God's fresh palm wine before all the Men who just saw him 7-10 days after yet keep shouting "Shut Up and tie a scarf and Sit down" even saw him.
Thomas "a doubtful man" touched him yet he still blessed the one he first showed himself to. If it were a Man that first saw Jesus, what would have happened?

Let's stop killing our Kudirat Abiolas and taking our Dora Akunyilis for granted.

That may be the hidden secret why the west seems to be miles ahead of us in terms of development. A few years ago, they were going through exactly what we're going through right now.
