I don't think people will really mind taking a branded cab and cab is also brand new and sleek. The main issue is can Lagos State sustain it? What happened to the likes of redcab and ekocab? They are saying the drivers will own the car after 5 years of a payment plan, how is the payment plan for this as well as the drivers take home income, what is the criteria for driving, how flexible is the contract? We still dey battle the e-hailing coys for the restraint they are giving us, how much control will drivers have on the lagride app? Then you now talk of maintenance, Abi them think say bolt, uber and the rest don't know why they don't provide the cars for drivers? Las Las na share them go share those cars.
there you go

Pls how has your experience been with your Honda Accord ...... I got an offer for 1M but I'm trying to get it down to 950k / 900k

Specs: Gold colour, all tinted glass, 06, seller is a Honda specialist mechanic and most it all is that it's a distress sale

Can I inspect it for you?

If we need to seriously press home our demands, there is need for coming together. Many ehailing drivers are insulated from the scheme of things and this would make a reasonable number of us to unendingly accept crumbs from these companies to the detriment of the greater whole.

It doesn't matter whether you are in Uyo or Lagos or Kano, we need to have a united front so as to prioritise our welfare in relation to the antics of these companies. In the next couple of years, many of us who are currently driving won't be in this business, others would come in to suffer the same if not worse things than we are passing through today. Directly or indirectly, it would negatively affect us, if the then victims are not our relatives, they could be our friends.

We need to have a general telegram group because telegram can take a large number of people in its group chat. This should not stop the different States' WhatsApp, fb, and telegram groups already existing.

Then we have to reach out to other ehailing drivers on other media platforms to join us and if we are to build our own app like someone here suggested, we can collectively start the process. Our unity and union can serve as a veritable example towards reforming the transport sector and the country at large. We can become a strong and influential pressure group in the transport sector amongst other sectors of the country.

Every ehailing driver has a smart phone and data without which you are not qualified to be tagged ehailing driver. We can legit get this done if we want to.

Which young man will have ₦1.9 million in today's Lagos and will rather become a slave.

.₦9,000 daily for how many days? 250 days, 350 days, 700 days.......

and if I may ask, which special Lagos riders will they be carrying to remit 54k weekly or is it not the same riders we encounter in Lagos on a daily basis.

LASG overestimates the purchasing power of its residents, a large fraction of residents in Lagos are just getting by.

Hahaha.... "Ofure" if I get the word correctly means "fine", it's an Edo State dialect meaning all is well, everything is fine.

So I believe what the driver who happens to be my namesake meant was "ha! Thank God ooh. Kukuma carry your witch head comot for my life"grin so he was very happy rushing to finish the trip so he can go and celebrate the breakup.

After reading all the comments on the proposed strike by Bolt drivers I just SMH in dismay.

The truth is there's no driver weather driving with Bolt/Uber/Indriver or any other that is not been affected by this dracula policies being dished out by these EH apps.

Just last week here Uber blocked my account permanent again with the reason that I rejected a card trip.

Now, I flashed back to some of the requests I got the previous day's and I deduced it was one rider that reported and without any form of consultation they just released the sledge hammer on my account, gbam!

The night b4 that day that my account was blocked I was still at lekki at around 9:45pm Uber would not let me set destination and all the trips I was getting was just around the island and I was tired and was desperate to go home, I'd been waiting for over 2hrs hoping to get a trip to the mainland even if na ikeja self I wouldn't mind but non came.
My Bolt was on set destination for several hours it was the next day I noticed my temporarily drivers license had expired reason I didn't get a single trip all along and they couldn't even notify me instead they just stop request from coming in.

I finally decided to drive empty all the way from Chevron or thereabout and on getting to Bank Anthony way, Maryland I got this request with 2.0x on Uber I'd even forgotten my app was on. The rider was not too far away.

Where is this one going I thought within me so I put a call through and she said Ikoyi... I looked at the time it was past 11pm already.

Me wey don blow empty reach house already? What kind of temptation is this? I'll blow empty again come back if I embark on this trip oooh... I thought!

I asked her is it card or cash? This is fuel scarcity session and I've been doing card all along wont I take some money home? The next thing I heard was a man's voice on the background telling her to lie it's cash and not card but already the woman/lady had said it was card...
Me: pls who's going on this ride because I just heard a man's voice on the background and the man said what's all these question with this guy, pls tell him if he doesn't want to go he should cancel.

I hanged up and turn back facing home and then she cancelled.

Next evening I went online and all 4-6 requeats I got all "rider cancelled" even b4 I could get their number to call or chat them. I was frustrated and went offline and didn't go out again that day.

The next morning trying to go online I got a message that my account has been blocked.

Me self I deleted their app straight up, deleted Bolt too. Installed my indriver and powered up my Rida app.

Yesterday I netted 12.5k on both apps with just 3 trips.

What am I trying to say here? Drivers are servants to these app companies but we drivers needs to wake up and tell them we are not servants but masters because we pay them and not them and the only way to change this narrative is to have a Union otherwise nothing will happen.

The idea of having a RS app is good but trust me it won't solve the problem because only one app can't serve the market and they'll at some point monetise it... E.g indrive, watch out for Rida now. They already "pay to app" on their app self so it's just a matter of time b4 they roll out their commission.

The union will have the government backing, belong to the NLC and a policy will be passed to every app coys to make sure every driver are to submit a Union ID b4 they'll be able to go online. With this every driver will be compared to join a Union and this will inturn even reduce the numbers of drivers on the platform because most drivers are part time drivers and this will discourage them or stop them from driving.

From there we can begin to engage these company properly by negotiating as partners not as customer that we currently are to them.

Thats because there is hunger in the land.
Some drivers are owing mechanics, house rent, school fees etc.
News of strike no settle with them at all.
This is what companies like bolt capitalize on.
They need you poor to control, take advantage and worsen your situation.

If you want to know how evil and wicked people can be then put them in an environment where they won't be held accountable for their actions,
That is the entitlement bolt gives it's riders on every trip they force us to accept.

I still think the best we can do as a group is pay developers to create our own app, which will be the default app for drivers in this business nationwide.

That way a strike against any of the other companies will be more effective as it doesn't cut into our income.

If every driver moves to the app riders will have to do so because the demand for the service will still be there.

We will need to have some good management and quality control also to balance drivers welfare with passengers needs.

With an ehailing drivers population of more than 10000 drivers. I think this will be easily achievable in a short time with good leadership.

Let me work on this. Pls click like button if you support this!!!

Download Barter App, create a virtual card and try to use it for funding, should work.
