Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged citizens to defend the country from Russian forces and said weapons would be issued to everyone who comes forward.

Mr Zelensky told the nation "we are defending our country, we fight for our country and we protect our country" after Russia launched an all-out invasion of Ukraine by land, air and sea.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made an appeal to Russian citizens to explain his views on Russian aggression towards his country, saying he does not want a war but that his country will defend itself against hostilities.

"We have no need for another Cold War, or a bloody war, or a hybrid war," Zelenskyy said in a video posted online Thursday morning local time, hours before Russia’s eventual invasion of his country.

"Today I initiated a phone conversation with the president of the Russian Federation. The result was silence. Although it's the Donbas where there should be silence," he added.

Zelenskyy said his administration’s goal is peace with Russia.

"They say that Ukraine may pose a threat to Russia. This wasn’t a case in the past, nor is it now, and won’t be in the future. Our main goal is to maintain peace in Ukraine and keep Ukrainian citizens safe," Zelenskyy said.

In this case, it's either kill or be killed. So why stay like a chicken waiting to be slaughtered before you act?

Also the sanctions being put together by EU and the US is quite comprehensive.... It places ban on all Russian government workers....it could even go as far as their citizens.

Russia would be completed isolated from the world.... and the biggest losers will be the Russian oligarchs, most of whom have various businesses aboard..... They may later turn against Putin.

Below are the separatist Putin have been arming to cause mayhem in Ukraine.

This picture was when they shot down a passenger plane carrying over 250 people with no survivors.... You can see no single remorse.... Even posing with the carcass of the plane.

Th western plan was to arm Ukraine against Russia in an effort to beat Russia into submission just like they did to Japan, Korea, Baltic states, Saudi Arabia and all other western azzlicking client states.

There's no way Putin or any other Russian leader can allow that happen.

I swear if Ukraine just mistakenly announce that they are willing to offer permanent citizenship to foreigners and asylum seekers who are willing to fight for Ukraine in the Ukrainian army heen, I swear I will be willing to go by any means possible. And the way thousands of Africans will start to troop to that country, even Russian go fear sef.
