You can be sure that if war breaks out, several power blocs in the South and middle belt as well as Islamic fundamentalists in the North who have been fighting for a separate state, will use that opportunity to carve out their enclave from Nigeria
The Nigerian government cannot fight on multiple fronts, they cant even fight on just the North west front against Boko haram

Another war in Nigeria will be the end of Nigeria. However, the Biafran agitators dont want war, they want referendum

This has been my thought line too but Ukrainians are not Biafrans and Nigeria can never be Russia , if Biafra wants to secede successfully then they have to change approach stop the attacks on non state actors , senseless sit at home and focus on the main target of getting world opinion like Ukraine did.

If war break out between IPOB vs FG even Igbo soldiers in Nigeria army will fight against IPOB as they are currently doing.There will never be all out war like in 1967-70.Finally international community is not interested in disintegrated and fragamented Nigeria so they will still support Nigeria as they did in 1967-70.But before you start again first seek the support of world powers before going into another round of wasting millions of lives.No other Nigeria group is as reckless as to consider going to war with FG they knew they will lose woefully only our people does that.

A lot of people dont realise that Nigeria is already at war. There is Boko haram fighting in the North East to declare an Islamic Republic, and there is ISWAP fighting in the North west to declare a Caliphate and their is s lot banditry and militancy in the North central

Large portions of the North are already in the hands of armed thugs. The Nigerian military is already stretched and fighting on at least three fronts. ISWAP is already in Niger State and less than 3 hours from Abuja

If the South East is declared Biafra today, it will open a 4th front which is most like to lead to a full blown return of the Niger Delta militants that will open a 5th front

There is no way the Nigerian military can fight on 5 fronts. This is not the era of 1967- 1970 where the South east was the only front and still took three years to subdue. The international community dont like interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign countries these days and wont look twice at Nigeria

With fighting on so many fronts, the Nigerian government will have no choice but to go to the negotiating table where referendum will be an option
