Why is it wrong for Russia to go into Ukraine to secure itself while the US and Europe are currently invading Syria, invaded countries all over the world from Somalia, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Vietnam,....

Israel is currently occupying Palestine and they ironically were condemning Russia.

yes I saw the Ukrainian defence force shared a video of a flight simulator on their twitter just now.....imo I think its just an urban legend, however I don't think it was intentionally created though

I am surprised how much scrap equipment RU Army is throwing into battle. Many front line units field MT-LBs and BMP-2s (not upgraded) - they wont last against NATO in a conventional war. They have not even archived air superiority. I am not really impressed what i see so far.

because they don't in fact have that many modern systems in total.... The vast majority of there defence force is still soviet era equipment

They had never lost it. They held out until reinforcements arrived , quite impressive

Spatnaz are good BUT the Ukrainians are just bad. This would have been impressive if they had fough their equals. I don't think the Ukrainians have anything remotely to what special forces should be.

That airport should have been taken back easily.

1. Ukraine should have shelled the airport with artillery first.

2. An overnight attack should have been done, keep them covered with artillery and mortar.

3. Russian reinforcements should have been taken down with Javelins.

If all fails, then they should continue pounding the runway with artillery so that the Russians can't use the airport or get time to repair it. ALSO keep SOF with Javelins to shoot down approaching aircrafts with an intention to land.

These are simple strategies, however they don't bother using them.

Russia is deploying Chechens to deal with the Ukrainian neonazzis Azov soldiers and urban warfare. This battle is going to be very bloody even though Russia has tried to avoid civilian casualties by deploying few troops, not using artillery, and few airstrikes. Russian doctrine is to use grid artillery which levels everything, like Syria

Why is this number low?

I believe there are several factors to this imo...1. Ukraine have much better anti air capabilities than ISIS and 2. Indiscriminate bombing of civilians is a war crime 3. What @ Odunayaw said

I have been watching such videos the whole day, it's actually hard to verify their authenticity as both Russia and Ukraine use roughly the same equipment. Also on the video, the vehicles are not marked with the "Z" that Russia is using, so we're aware that there's plenty of propaganda going around especially from the Ukrainian side.

So I'd take these with a pinch of salt.

He (Putin) has been planing this for a while, he must have gone through all alternate scenarios of retaliation from the west. He definitely went through all worst case scenarios and planned contingencies for all of them, so it's probable he is holding back the advanced equipment for someone more equal.
From Russia's perspective, and the way they executed the operation so quickly, they predicted that taking Ukraine was easy probably within a week or two max with little resistance after dismantling Ukraine's air defence capability.

So it's not impossible to think that Russia is holding back the good stuff for a scenario were a stronger adversary decides to intervine.
One thing I can say is Putin is definitely holding back.
