Syria was not started nor invaded by the U.S. in fact, Obama was afraid of striking them after the backlash of the world on their war with libya initially.... Instead, after their civil war started, they were ist aided and military support brought in by the Russians, later iran and lastly Turkey... US came in much much later in the war due to the growth of ISIS terrorist organisation across iraq and Syria.

Lastly Russia has previously invaded Afghanistan in the 1980's and also pulled out.... But the U.S invasion of Afghanistan was known to everyone due to the 9/11 tragedy that occurred at d the trade tower and Pentagon, where about 3000 people were killed by osama bin Laden, and no nation of the world would have been attacked that way and seat idle, including Russia
