I didn't pass at first so, I'll be wearing white n black while some of my course mates were on CAMO, I wasn't a good feel. D 2nd test was conducted, it was at this stage I passed, d 3rd n 4th too subsequently. In no time, we started field ex, bush camps, obstacle crossing n very importantly PT. One Saturday, we were told we'll be going on a 3.2km race...we ran from the PG sch to VARMA gate n hunched back to PG sch, it was as if that was d day most of my course mate wud die but, that was even a tip of the iceberg compared to what our eyes saw in subsequent times...well, we survived d hunching...some, with damaged legs. There was always this cmon question asked when a great feat is achieved...'Do you think you've done what Napoleon hasn't done'...Sometimes in May, we went for Camp Initial (the first bush camp) @Jaji....all camps, we usually dash back so...we dashed back... with our rifles.... My Coy came first..Then camp Sabon yaro...a good camp too...Sometimes in June, activities choked up for us cos speculations were we were to pass out with RC 68, we had the cross country competition that June, my coy came first..In July, we had d obstacle crossing competition, Colito came first...It was in that month that our troubles started...A new commandant assumed office n thought he wants to see us train so, the training period was extended because he wasn't impressed with the obstacle crossing competition. Well, he was lenient enough to give us the 3-day midterm break...this was July 17 (that day was my birthday . So we went for break happy because it was assumed we Will resume without prep wingers (NDA- No Definite Arrangement). We resumed with prep wingers....that night a general puttee was issued in case there was some misbehaviours...that's culture of NDA...
