Surrender for what and to who?

A surrendering person will not be defiant by doing what the tyrant adversary did not want. Zelenskyy has just been reported to have asked for special accelerated membership of the EU. One of the complains and concerns of Putin's Russia.

I watched the Russian Ambassador to the UN claim Russia isn't attacking any Ukrainian City as all the videos and photos are fake. He claims Russia are only on a Special intervention operation in the Dunbas and Luhansk region. Oga is Kyiv the capital in any of those regions??
