The laptop with corei5 processor with 500HDD and 8Gb ram and a laptop with AMD Ryzen 3 processor with 1T and 4Gb ram, which is better to buy?

If you are a gamer with good graphics person like me, I would go for the AMD only problem is cooling. Otherwise, Core i5 is a great buy and cooling is not a problem but graphics memory (VRAM) might be low.

I don't really need it for gaming. Just for typing and sometimes browsing.

Go for the Ryzen 3 unless the core i5 is a recent cpu.

AMD Ryzen doesn't get hotter than their intel counterparts and they give better performance..

Go for the Ryzen 3 so long as it's from the 3000 series and up.
You're going to get a much quicker response and experience from it than a core i5-6th gen and lower.

There's no hotness to worry about lol given your intention of usage. Even if you were going to game on it, I'd be more worried about the Intel counterpart when it comes to heating and workload

that Amd Ryzen config will be more expensive than the intel, unless the intel is like 8 or 9th generation.
