They should not stop at granting full autonomy to Local Government alone but let LG election be organized by FG or the LG. Create opportunity for independent candidates to contest too
I'm sure you didn't read it through.
Independent candidacy is among the items that the rep members voted In Favour of.

Are you Ibo?

Dawn91:
So the amendments are mostly for local government name changes and related affairs? When they should do important amendments like abolish state of origin , abolish religious police like hisbah, abolish religious based influences on business and education.

These law makers are a bunch of rouges and illiterates

in other words the president is still the number one man in a democratic setting such that voting or referendum cannot override his veto and nigerians don't even know how to choose a president as the presidents don't have any attribute. youths too don't have any bill whether new or amended. I also hope they have allowed for resource control and production. nigerians keep wailing.

Items on exclusive legislative list are items exclusively controlled by the FG...Example: Military, seaports, airports, etc.

Concurrent legislative lists involve items where both the FG & State Government have shared control.

When it's not on either, it is on the residual lists and the FG has no business with it.

Before now, it is not on either the legislative nor concurrent lists, hence the attempt to place it under the control of the FG has failed.
I see.
That was why they established FIRS and labelled it as part of their responsibilities.
Now, the Constitution would supercede the FIRS establishment law

....
I just discovered that some of the amendments which the H.O.R passed were not passed by the Senate.
And some that were passed by the Senate were not passed by the H.O.R.
..
Thus, the two houses are not on the same agreement with the amendments.
..
(You can provide a summary topic where the results of the two houses on the amendments were presented side-by-side)
..
My question now is..
What's the next thing to happen about the Provisions where the two houses are having different conclusions??
