Few days ago I was traveling to Akwa Ibom on call of for NYSC. Some guys attacked our bus somewhere in Anambra, they were all armed about 35 men with AK rifle and M14 guns,
I said on Twitter but people started attacking me they are not IPOB.
I’ve never been to that part before, the driver and 2 elderly men in the bus identified them as IPOB/ Biafra boys
These guys scared the hell of out of me, lie us down and asked for our phones mine was in my pocket I lied on it, later they returned some phones and took from those who they feel were recording them, also they extorted money from the driver and we were asked to enter the bus and move out...

we discuss Nigerian matter daily, ipob, oduduwa, BH, ijaw, arrewa, corruption, Atiku, Tinubu, peter obi and every other politician are Nigerian problems, we discuss it daily

Don’t mind the vermin! Didn’t read past the first two lines, but i almost suffered repetitive strain injury as my thumb continued to scroll down what i thought was an unending epistle of crocodile tears!

No doubt there’s insecurity in the east, but a vast majority of it (esp’ the senseless ones where mass gatherings are targeted by remorseless and evil gunmen who slaughter tens of innocents in cold blood)….a vast majority of it are carried out by imported, non-Igbo who see Igbo lives as insignificant and expendable!

These engineered attacks by agents of the deep state are carried out for a number of reasons: they see Ndigbo as being beneath them; they want to paint IPOB/ESN and Mazi Kanu in unflattering, ‘terroristic’ colours before Ndigbo and the int’l community; for 2023 purposes; and for economic reasons, so the south-east wouldn’t be seeing much progress since they have the ‘temerity’ to wanna challenge the existing order, status-quo and political-economy in place since the late 60s!

But the major thing to take away from all these multitude of threads on insecurity in the south-east….opened up and commented on by chronic Igbo-haters shedding crocodile tears and pretending to cry more than the bereaved, is that this inorganic and engineered insecurity in our region is the best proof….if any was actually needed, of Nigeria being A FAILED STATE! The authority in the South East has been very lackadaisical about handling these grave security issues. Till today, nobody knows why the amusing Monday sit at home still persists, even though its authors claims to have abandoned the declaration.

Rebels have noted the jittery stance of the government and have taken the chance to orchestrate all sorts of ills against innocent citizens in the South East.

This is a lesson to all. If you encourage violence of any kind because you think it supports your wraped ideals or stance, realise that it can equally and very likely do the opposite.

Once violence springs up unchecked whether for a 'good' or bad cause, it will often cascade into a disaster of unimaginable proportions.

The government in the South East must now step up to their responsibility or risk their region morphing into an eternal war and crime zone like we now have in the North.

Igbos must shun the petty politics and demand that whoever is behind these attacks be brought to book. Else, their deafening silence and slight agreement will eventually consume them.

I also resides in Onitsha, though we have issue of insecurity here and there but not in the magnitude at which it has always been projected in the media as though all we have in the East is daily massacre everywhere. There's killing everywhere in the world but we in the South East only raises our voices against it to reduce it and prevent further escalation.
