Barcelona was not growing with aging Messi still there, as a club and as a team.

Aubameyang and Adama have been a revelation since they joined, so I don't know what you are talking about.

Big names mean next to nothing these days... If they did, Dortmund would still be in Europa; PSG would be bossing Europe now (which they are not); United should be occupying at least 2nd position by now.
