Fasindo:My brother, I dey feel you. I be Muslim, but I think some things should just be left under restrictions. Why bring different dress codes for security agents? Does it mean that Traditional worshippers can wear different charms on their police uniform? Let's see how it goes nah since everybody wants to bambam and roll with the big boys. |

NOETHNICITY:Can you in all honesty say this is the major challenge facing our police now? The police law does not allow single women to get pregnant. Don't you think such law is discriminatory and should be abolished? |

Inclusion is more important to you than professionalism, performance and empathy. Three things which our police lack. Your type should not attain leadership or managerial position because you don't know what should be a priority whether in leadership or management! Baybii: |

NOETHNICITY:Muslim women make use of hijab, it's their head. They are not complaining. But someone somewhere feels it's wrong. I still don't get the logic. We have muslims that don't use hijab, no one is forcing them to use it. Please let those who want to use it be free to do so. After looking at most of the things happening , I noticed the problem isn't the dressing or the practices. Their problem is *islam* itself. Before, to people beards is bad. But now it's not bad again, since both Muslims and others keep it. So many other examples |

Agbegbaorogboye:okay I agree with you. But rather than unnecessarily criticize the new policy why not raise ur concern about other unaddressed situation |

NOETHNICITY:The issue of unmarried pregnant officers have been on since 2020 when a lady was dismissed in Osun for getting pregnant out of wedlock. According to the existing law, only the igp can reinstate her. Despite efforts by CSOs, the former ig and this present one have refused to lift a finger in that regard, but this religious matter props up out of nowhere. How does such hypocrisy from the top hierarchy of the police sound to you? |
| Re: Women Dress Code: Adopted, Approved In Line With International Practice - Police by prophetfire: 9:42am On Mar 05, 2022 |
alfarouq:Of what use is hijab to the efficiency of our security personnel. A country where you carry religion on your head but still more corrupt than the devil himself. Was it not this very IGP that was having issues with police service commission because he was fighting to shield criminal Abba Kyari until Kyari further finished himself? When a man has failed in his office, he would start playing the religious card. That's what he is doing. So any Muslim crying out against his failure would shut up and any non-muslim speaking against him would be perceived as talking because of his Islamic tendencies. That's the shameful game he is playing. |

NOETHNICITY:. The problem isn't with Islam. It's with hypocrites that practice Islam in Nigeria. Some of the best and beautiful countries are Islamic countries. Turkey, UAE, Jordan. Why can't Nigeria Muslims be as progressive, reformed, informed and civilised as the ones in those fine Islamic countries? Why do nigeria's own version of Islam draw us backward to ignominy? Why can't it help to move the country forward. We are still talking hijab and cattle grazing in this age!!! Southern Muslims can't be that daft. |

This is WRONG in it's entirety.. wearing of hijab or head covers MUST NOT be allowed in the police, military or paramilitary in order not to subject those from other faiths to attacks by terrorists. When you force your housewife to wear hijab, it's a different scenario because she will be indoors or at your service most of the time, but when you subject service men/women to wearing hijabs and whatnot, there won't be uniformity again in the force and that itself is a SERIOUS DANGER for the country. I'm getting fed up and tired by the day with these Northern muslims and their extremist beliefs. Nigeria is a secular country and not an islamic country for God's sake, why can't these people respect that and practice their faith privately. |

Danjikanbauchi:What is jihad? Don't be an illiterate. Be an open minded person and make a research. And that's why u have a functional brain. Use it wisely and remove hatred in your heart. Don't just follow what's being bombarded on the media. |

dryakson:jihad is what Boko Haram, ISWAP, Taliban, and all islamiat have been promoting, even Buhari government has been on killing of Christians, jihad is what makes Annabi MOHAMMED piss be upon him to kill people and deceived you to even kill and use Taqquya to promote Islam |

FIRDAUS3:. So the international practice we need in our police at this critical time of security challenges is hijab? Not training and retraining? Not stamping out corruption? Not ensuring efficiency and welfare of personnel? Not infrastructure and equipment? That's why I said that cavemen are leading us backwards. |
| Re: Women Dress Code: Adopted, Approved In Line With International Practice - Police by NOETHNICITY(m): 12:46pm On Mar 05, 2022 |
prophetfire:The UAE you mentioned, are women not allowed to use headscarf, wear hijab or go out without hijab. The intolerant hypocrites here are the christians who can't stand the freedom granted a muslim woman to practice her faith. You're saying southern muslims can't be daft enough to talk about hijab, because you would love to see them ignore when you deny them the use of it. If headscarf isn't so much to talk about why can't you people overlook a muslim woman who chooses to use it? |
| Re: Women Dress Code: Adopted, Approved In Line With International Practice - Police by NOETHNICITY(m): 12:58pm On Mar 05, 2022 |
Agbegbaorogboye:That the IGP decided to prioritize the dress code of his officers does not sound like hypocrisy to me. Afterall the Force have argued that a woman getting pregnant without being married violates thier code of conduct. I will agree that it's hypocrisy if violators get selective treatment. |
