Tekuzukite:
Last night, the rain that fell in Ibadan cause so much damage. One of such was two cars and a bike that were destroyed after the fence of a filling station they parked beside fall on them (see pictures).

Like a silver linen in the cloud, the driver of one of cars just came down to take refuge in a near by bar when the ugly event occurred.

I am wondering if the car owners will sue the filling station for damages or they will just thank God for life.
it's called natural disaster... They'll be very foolish if they accuse anybody! What about building that collapse and kill people during storms? Even in court, they will fail in such a case. Natural disaster is not like car accident where someone runs into your property. Tonado has destroyed buildings, killing people along the line and no one was blamed, rather they were helped. So, no sensible person will take this as a court case, it's foolish to do so. Just accept it, look for solution and move on.

You will tell your wife you went to buy fuel during this scarcity period and the crowd coupled with the downpour caused the catastrophic collapse which affected the fence and the cars.

Your wife should just have to thank God for the gift of life.

God we thank you for preservation of lives, though properties were lost.
Hahahahaha you be elderly liar grin

But the location is different from your route , how do you explain that

I insist you must be an impostor based on your comments. You must be a fake Lawyer who should be ignored. You can't interpret correctly the legality of the problems involved. Don't mislead the public.
The Landlord must pay for the damages.
I don't argue with fools, you win. but please try to do something about your mindset, if not it will put you in trouble, always consult a lawyer for legal advice before taking any action. we love you.

there's no lawyer that will pick up this case, in law of tort there's what we call an act of God, no one cause the rain to fall. and no one owes you duty of care, if you saw the fence was bad, why did you park close to it, you can't sue for it either, sorry for your loss.
Is the fence a parking lounge?

OK. You have agreed you're not a Lawyer. But an impostor.
What legal advice do I seek in a case as clear as noon day. I won't glorify you again with response. Only fools argue on a known case like this. You may be a fool!

Baba, thanks for the enlightenment. Even though I'm not a lawyer, but if it can be proven by a witness, with pictorial evidences before the court of law that there was a crack on the wall before the accident, thereby causing a serious endangerment to the members of the public and properties, that your theory ain't flying.
