Things I learnt from yesterday's game;

No matter how bad Salah is playing,we are a threat with him...we always look flat when he is taken off...

Jota is not suited for the right-wing......either running at defenders on the left or at the centre (not cos of his hold and linkup play but cos of his poaching instinct,awareness and positioning)

We still need a firmino(past his best,don't have the legs anymore) or firmino-like player as our 9 who will inter-link our wingers,create space for them,unselfish and draw the low-block defenders out...

Mane and salah egos will be our undoing,both throw tantrums and get angry when taken off

Teams who play low-block with quick transitions will hurt us and have chances against us with the highline we play eg rentboys,westham,spursy

Why didn't we gamble on coutinho, high wages(fsg )? Unsettle the dressing room? That guy still dey ball....fabinho,thiago(if fit) or Henderson and coutinho feeding Diaz,mane,Salah and jota would have been cheatcode with football porn.....if you watch villa's first goal,he solves our issues with teams who sit-back,he will unlock them....his telepathic understanding with Salah then was out of this world before he started faking injury to push a move to barca

I would want Coutinho but bros, we need to send message to players and future players that if you leave, you are gone for good. Coutinho won't unsettle the dressing room though but it will hinder the progress of Eliot, Jones and etc.

Sure. I don't want us to break our wage structure cause then you have to look at guys like Robertson, van Dijk, Fabinho, Mane, Alisson. It will be unfair to them. We have survived great players leaving us so it will be alright.
I wish Salah well as he leaves.

That's one thing with being so attached to a player. I have learnt a long time that this thing is a business and it's rather better to identify more with the club than a player.
I wouldn't feel shit if any player leaves. Cause they always will. Sure we will feel it in games, loose games, draw games but one thing I love about my club is, we will always adapt and come back stronger.
Players always leave but YNWA is stronger than anything.

Sure, his coming led us to be contenders for trophies again. He broke many titles and all. But the status depend on his next club. If he goes to Man United, City or Chelsea or Everton, I don't think he will be considered one.

I think it's a tactics. Gerrard did it by going to Man United to have trials, and creating news that Tottenham were after him just to force Liverpool to get him a professional contract and play time.

The England international will also miss the upcoming friendlies after picking up a hamstring problem against Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be sidelined for “weeks” with a hamstring injury, meaning that the buccaneering right-back could miss crucial fixtures in a Premier League title bid while also withdrawing from the latest England squad.


The 23-year-old defender picked up a problem during the Reds’ 2-0 victory at Arsenal and is now in no position to turn out for club or country any time soon.

He will play no part in upcoming international friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast, while also being forced to watch an FA Cup quarter-final clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday from afar.

Asked for an update on Alexander-Arnold at a press conference looking ahead to a trip to the City Ground, Liverpool boss Klopp said: “Trent is out with a hamstring, he will not be part of England as well. We will see how long that takes. We have to wait.”

Pressed further on whether the home-grown star would be out for a matter of weeks, the German added: “Yeah.

“We will see how long it will take but, of course, to replace Trent is difficult but possible. We always did it.

“We have Joe [Gomez]. Theoretically we can change the system as well. These kinds of things. So we have a couple of options, but you are right he is very influential.

“If you look in the past when Milly [James Milner] had to step in he did incredibly well. Incredibly well. He just has to be available and then that is fine. I don’t know if he will for Sunday. Maybe we have a very young solution as well.

“The way he [Alexander-Arnold] plays, I don't know any player who plays like Trent in the world. So it will be difficult to find a one versus one replacement.”

Which other fixtures could Alexander-Arnold miss?
While Milner could easily step in for Alexander-Arnold, a veteran member of the Liverpool fold has been struggling with illness of late.

It therefore remains to be seen whether he will be asked to provide cover against Forest and in other fixtures on a hectic schedule for Klopp’s side.

After taking in a visit to Trentside, the Reds will shut down during the March international break.
