This is not China. This is Osummanu Fish Estate and Resort Osomala in Ogbaru LGA, Anambra State.

Ogbaru LGA is one of the coastal LGA in Anambra state. The LGA also share Upper Iweka Urban Area with Onitsha and Obosi.
And why’s this not on FP already?

Do d needful

https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/anambra-state-is-bleeding

‘Anambra is bleeding’ this is d kind of articles we keep reading anytime there’s serious bloodshed in Awka. One would ask, what are the people of Awka community doing about the spate of cultism that is ravaging the land. Where’s the PGs/Igwes and titled Chiefs of Awka communities? What are they saying about the rise of cultism in Awka? What efforts are they making to curb the menance? Why are there rumors of even the Vigilante members of Awka communities being part of cultism?

If there are no concerted efforts to wipe cultism out of Awka same way mkpurumiri was kicked against...then indigenes/dwellers of Awka and environs are in for a big problem.

Authorities should sit up and kick down this evil or else Akuluono and other good initiatives would continue to slip into the d mud.

Ezekwesili’s Transition Committee Submits 120-Page Report to Soludo

By Izuchukwu Adichie

After about 6 weeks of thorough scrunity and debates, the Dr Oby Ezekwesili led Anambra state governorship transition committee has submitted a 120-page final report of its findings to the governor-elect, Chukwuma Soludo on Saturday, March 6, 2022 at Golden Tulip Hotel, Agulu.

The committee submitted the compressed report from over 2000 pages it received from 17-subtask committees. The committees are charged to present the current assessment of the state and recommend short, medium and long term actions for the smooth take-off of the incoming government.

With the cooperation of the state government internal transition team, government agencies and boards, and other several groups that helped to arrive at its recommendation, the transition committee had produced priorities, policies and programs for a Governor Soludo.

Having handed the report to the Governor-elect, it is expected that his administration will act on the recommendations of the committee once he is formally inaugurated as the Executive Governor of Anambra state on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the State Government House, Awka.

Ndi-Anambra are enjoined to work together, to build upon the foundations of the State's founding fathers as the state set to transit into the 4th Industrial Revolution and post oil economy.

Even the worst hater cannot say Obiano didn't perform fantastically!

My fervent hope and prayers are that Prof. Soludo will think in transformational ways to solve age-long challenges, and not act like typical Nigerian university academics that are obsessed with their own (limited) knowledge of what they think is right. While they lose sight of the bigger picture about other truly important transformational projects.

One of the many things that made America great is that its best infrastructure isn't always an exclusive preserve seen only at its capital city Washington DC. Which is precisely the opposite doctrine adopted by many European countries (except Germany) and African countries (except South Africa) that look like Bush outside their capital city. For instance, I doubt that a true academic produced by Nigerian universities would think great enough to build a world-standard airport with a runway longer than the Abuja airport runway and an international conference center that is bigger than the one in Abuja!

Obiano understood that Anambra needed such a standard international runway with approach/landing lights and other facilities due to the need to have the capacity of landing all sizes of huge cargo planes even if it happens after 10 years of airport operation. In the same way, he strived to make the terminal building of international standards with escalators and other facilities seen in airports abroad, instead of being content with Nigerian airports terminal building standards.

Would love to see the airport serve one or two int'l destinations, and commence cargo handling too. It turned out ok in the end....so many escalators for ease of movement, though they could improve on the lighting all over the terminal.

I hope an airport hotel is built on the grounds of the airport. Such an airport would be especially useful for passengers on international flights, who wouldn’t want to go into town immediately after a long journey.

In the future, Air Peace, in addition to setting up an MRO at the airport, could launch international flights to destinations such as Dubai, Shanghai, Jo’burg, or seasonal flights to Houston (which has a sizable Igbo population).

In addition to more lightings, I still believe a decorative hanging ceilings (with cultural motifs like ATILIOGWU DANCERS) would befit the airport and make it a compact boutique airport. Check out the new but ongoing Kumasi International Airport in Ghana.
From what I have seen so far, the airport development will be an ongoing thing. The next should be hotels WITHIN the Airport ground for those who want to plan best way to get into town considering security. Then Cargo terminal and when International flights commence, we start building an International terminal. Regarding International terminal, if we can't lay hand on world class design on a small scale, we can meet Amaechi (Transport Minister) to help us with a design. Amaechi did well with train terminals which beat any of our airports so he will have a better Airport designs.

This primary health centre should be replicated in all communities of Anambra state. It's doable. If funding is the issue, I know there are many wealthy ndi Anambra in each community that would be glad to finance their as part of contribution you their home town.

Health care delivery in most of our villages is nothing to write home about and our elderly population in the rural areas need it badly.

Our prayers are that the youths will learn that farming (whether it is bitter leaf, fisheries, tomatoes, yam, Efi Igbo, poultry, etc) is a great untapped source of wealth than the elusive yahoo business. Where they never make any money because everyone around the world now knows about the "Nigerian prince" emails.

I think the future international terminal can also be used for some domestic flights. Such a terminal should be capable of handling a minimum of 2 million passengers/year.
Also, the I’ll prefer it be either designed like the upcoming permanent terminal in Uyo, or the new Beijing airport terminal (obviously on a much smaller scale).

Thank goodness that the airport is not yet fully built up, so as you said, there should be space for a combined 500 hotel rooms within the airport, a proper cargo terminal, and Air Peace’s proposed MRO.
