You beat traffic, they collect 200NGN from you when infact you should be standing before a judge, having your mental health checked.
You caught with marijuana and you bail yourself with 2000NGN bribe instead of being thankful, you yap about on social media.

The list is endless...

i agree with this 101%... you see in as much as the image of NPF has been badly damaged, you cannot just do without them... remove police from NIgeria for just 48 hours and Nigeria will experience Russia vs Ukraine over night... i pity those who are saying Rubbish about Nigerian police, the day will come when you will need them more than you need the air u breathe ... I pray God continue to watch over every policeman out there (good or bad)

You refuse to give a #50 bribe at the go, you receive a headshot

You argue with them about what offence(s) you committed, you receive a headshot

They kill and get transferred out instead of checking their head

Most cars are not road worthy tho.
Driving without a functional brake light could lead to dastardly road disasters.

It's because they're undercutting and taking bribes, that's why everybody will prefer to break the law and pay bribe.

Law breaking citizens, corrupt police. Who loses at the end of the day? You have a shithole country that is not even wortht of being inhabited by animals.

Oga... have you heard of the saying that, it is only a fool/mad man that argues with the man holding a gun... as a common man who has no back up what so ever and also having a full knowledge of how the system works in the country, and also knowing fully well you have nothing to do about this view, why not avoid anything that will make the Nigeria police want to insult you (and you know if you insult them back, you go collect)...

police stops you and ask you simple question, instead of you to just politely answer and leave that scene (not because you are weak or lower in status to the police, but just to be civilized in avoiding unwanted problems) instead you start asking police who gave you the right to ask you such questions

just yesterday, police stopped the vehicle i was in, simple question Oga where do u work, i told em i dont have a job, they asked me to open my bag which i did, they saw my laptop and condom and asked, do i have receipt of the laptop and i said yes, next he said what are u doing with all these bullets (condoms) you no wan born he asked, and i jokingly smiled and we were all good to go... my point is no police man will assault you if you behave urself before them and u have nothing incriminating on u... thanks

Unfortunately, if not for the Nigerian police and a generally corrupt society as ours, many Nigerians would have been obeying traffic rules and behaving more orderly.

These same Nigerians you think should be in jails or mental homes behave properly (most times) when they get to saner climes. This is because the system is set to punish disorderly conduct and their system also frowns against bribery and all that accompanies it.

If the Nigerian police refuses bribes and ensures that all traffic offenders get their day in court, there will be fewer traffic people offenders than we have today.
