You must understand that both artistes are different. Davido is a social Media person. He has that ability to easily trend in the social media space which has a way of bringing him money, either by way of popularizing his songs or shows. If you want to look at the business side of music, Wizkid doesn't come close to Davido. Davido got it and one way he does it is through this social media stuff he does that some of you call "Chasing clout". If it brings him money and more money, damn your opinions.

That Wizkid can do that without the media show doesn't in any way diminish the achievements of Davido. Someone like Davido even needs the social media show. He is not a natural singer unlike Wizkid. So he needs to promote his songs, shows, artistes, philanthropy any way he dims fit.

It is one of the reasons people naturally love Davido. Ask any upcoming artiste who they would like to feature between Davido and Wizkid. Almost all will choose Davido. As an upcoming artiste, you can have a song with Wizkid and he wouldn't even bother to display your song on social media, unlike Davido. Davido can so much hype your song that you will become an instant hit.

Then, there is the issue of impact. Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo all came to the spotlight through Davido. Even we as Nigerians got to know South African artistes like Nasty C and Focalistic because of Davido. Who has Wizkid brought out? Even those guys that sang Soco Soco with him, that we thought he would promote, where are they?

I did rather have Davido as a friend (one who is a jolly good fellow and always catching crusie) than have someone like Wizkid as a friend wey dey always form maturity. Na Dem dey act like snake pass.

ok, this is the difference, Wizkid did that relying heavily on PR and heavy promo advert, he may not get more that 10% of the proceeds, thats biz, seamless and stressless for him. But the case of davido, he did less of PR and advert, the sale will be slow as much of the revenue goes to him and his team. Thatz the reason for the doubt. Eventually he sailed through.
