Nobody is talking enough about how Saka stole the ball off cleverly in the build-up to our second goal on Sunday. I mean the boy just had his eyes on the ball and did got it without committing a foul despite Cleverly's thearatics.

I want to see Martinelli do that too often considering he's fast, he can do damage to damage to opposition defence if he keeps his eyes on the ball too like and not always commit a foul anytime he marks an opposition player.

But from my understanding of his post I think he's just being hopeful Odegaard will be a better version of Ozil in the next 2 years. It may or may not happen. Oy time will tell.

As for Giroud and Walcott spy needs to humble himself and accept he made big error that he stanned those two waste pipes.
Yes but at the expense of ozil, he indirectly rubbish ozil achievement

Let's start with laca, he always have advantage of winning ball for us but he eventually commit fouls instead

If u isolate his first statement in that post, it appears he's gone overboard by saying we have all of Ozil and more in Odegaard, but his second sentence showed he's only hopeful that in the next two years he will be better than prime ozil.

To me it's just a dream sha. Lets wait and see sha.

I personally don't think Lacazette can learn anything again at his age. Number 2 I don't see him as an Arsenal player in the future ; na why I no just put am for my plans....Na why I focus on our youngins

Exactly
I honestly want these guys to improve but not hyping them pass their limit, there's always room for improvement in all of them including the coach.

Ajax, Liverpool, Madrid are all lying in wait.

It's in their court though. Compared to other 4th position contenders, Arsenal have a relatively easy chance due to fixtures left till md38. Luck should join them too. The form has been outstanding.

I read some comments from Arteta. I think he's the one that gave the role to Laca. Laca is desperate to score but the role limits him. I think that is settled.

Then there's this too

It's true ó. Only man utd and Loserpool are our big matches remaining. If we don't lose focus the top 4 should be within our grasp.

I am more wary about Klopp and Liverpool than I am about the others you have listed. Saka is a typical type of Klopp player and he has made his admiration public about Saka. I know he is keeping close tabs and will want pounce at any chance. I have no doubts that Saka loves Arsenal but I hope we don't take for granted and become careless during negotiations because na people like Saka dey get strong mind if dem change am for you.

Speaking about the final 4th spot, there are no easy fixtures as we approach the end of the season. Many teams will be looking to finish as high as possible and away from the drop zone, so as to have a comfortable end to the season.
Our next 4 fixtures are Leicester/Liverpool/ A resurgent A. Villa/ Crystal Palace.
United play Spuds/ Leicester/ Everton/ Norwich
Westham play Villa/ Spuds/ Everton/ Brentford
Spuds- United/ Brighton/ Westham/ Newcastle

Lol.. Not everyone is obsessed with stats na, esp present/modern coaches. Most modern prioritize control and domination over whether a player scores or not, that's why Arteta will always appreciate laca for his part in making arsenal have control while fans will be killing themselves with laca not scoring.

You people are missing the point. Laca gets the stick from fans including myself because he doesn't score like a striker should, doesn't create goals (which would be evident by assist records) and spends most time doing "gidigbo" with opposition defenders instead of running into space.

Now fast forward to Sunday he had 2 beautiful assists, didn't spend most of his time in midfield and getting into the the box only to misfire. Did u see anybody moan about his lack of goals in that particular match? No. Beacuse it was obvious to everyone what he brought to the table in that particular match.
I
If the coach has found a good use for him, then kudos to the coach for doing that and kudos to Lacazette for playing the role well. We only hope he gets better in the role and win us more games doing that.

Shebi when Arteta was appreciating Willian that was playing rubbish did the fans clap for him?

Babe wey follow her fiance come watch match dey laugh am

“Is this how bad Arsenal is?”

She likes Martinelli but he was playing rubbish today.

I like Dennis. We can get him as Laca replacement. He knows how to work in tight spaces and is clinical and rugged. 40m will be too much sef and Osimhen na 100m due to how ucl giants are after him.

I hate the fact that teams smell blood that Arsenal spilled themselves and capitalize. Well Watford gave Man Utd tough time sha. I expected this to be a freescoring match.

For those wondering why i look the other way for Laca mata, i hope you’ve seen it now?

He just wants to keep gathering Assists instead of scoring, which is laughable. That’s not his job. But one can see he complained of not getting fed in the centre while he was subbed off.

And finally, Nketiah can’t offer what Laca offers this current team. The lad was intentional though. School boy mistakes from Gabriel eh!! Asif they’ve been on a jet lag. It seems they don’t really do well on the road.

Recurring problem: Saka gets the ball and three defenders rush to him with barely a red shirt opening up to give him options. Once odegaard is not that red shirt, its a sorry chance. He understands Martin well. But Arteta need do something about that. Like this guy drags 3 players to him!!!!!
if you guys are yet to understand that laca functions more as a false nine, then you guys have no business watching ball..

The midfield is shaping up slowly. 200m can do a lot to fill in the key gaps lacking in this team. Odegaard chemistry with Saka is going to get him starts until a better midfielder comes to contest his place.
Yeah, 200m will be great. Even tho I was emotional at first, I'm really happy Arteta is improving the squad with talented players instead of parading here with deadwoods we might not really need or be happy with

Laca doesn't score as a striker would I agree. In fact I've always said laca should improve on his goal ratio to chance he had. My issue is that laca helps in us dominating midfield too, most times partey or xhaka will stranded from who to pass to because our midfielders and wingers have already been marked out but laca will come into the midfield hole to give a passing option which partey mostly utilises. That itself helps us in having control and possession of the game and that's one of the aspects of the game laca brings, no coach won't appreciate that esp when the team is built on structure like arsenal. Another the you guys even didn't moan about laca was because we were clinical on Sunday not that he wasn't his misfiring self. He was just privileged that this time his chances was converted clinically. At least I'm glad you've acknowledged the fact that the coach have found a way for laca to help us win games, na spy I still dey wait for to acknowledge that too.
And as for Willian, we all know he brought nothing to the table, at least if anyone one call Willian useless during his time here I don't think anyone will defend in his stead

The players are actually the one losing concentration, the instruction is when ramsdale have the ball he pass to the next available player which we have done all season but this end of season is looking somehow
Even the goals we concede recently can be avoided
To be honest, the defence haven't been they great. I'm just happy that our midfield and attack is in form else na cry we for dey cry by now.

Gabriel mostly have been the one mostly at fault (in my opinion). Always fouling players unnecessarily and been off position sometimes

Lol .. Like fkhalifa says; he prefers a team in which goals can come from everybody instead of only 1 person and that I agree with him 200%.

To hell if laca doesn't score as long as we keep on creating chances and winning matches, I'm happy. I don't care if he finishes the season with 3 goals and we make top 4

Spot on. What Lacazette is doing in this his new role is commendable when you consider he's no longer young and will be hard for him to fit in but never forget that Auba struggled in that role. It's not goals for arteta or modern coaches with their strikers, it's about how good you can help bring other players into play to help break an opposite press and Laca is doing just fine.

Where I'll say he has a problem is positoning himself and getting off his marker to score. He doesn't seem to have that ability but he's doing just fine for now in that false nine role. Come transfer window, Teta will get his preferred strikers

It's really difficult to pick one but that Odegaard goal is just wow....the way he was able to sneak the ball back to Saka and his run up to receive the ball again is just heavenly grin grin

One person we need to really commend is Laca, baba just dey lay the ball for Dem kids to score. I will opine we give him like a year contract again at least till the new striker gel with the team.
Abeg oo... We need correct young striker(s) next season o. They'll gel, don't worry, after all Tomi, white, ramsdale or gel in defence at once. That striker will gel.

To be honest I need a taller and more rounded striker, to be making use of aerial ball when ever we go long. Laca hardly wins that

God bless you for this. Exactly what most people haven't realized. For modern coaches, goals is just a by product of the structure they've put in place. As long as that is being effectively carried out, they believe goals will always come. They're never worried that their strikers are on goal drought cos to them, everybody in midfield and attack is "strikers". Na only we the fans and press will be worried that so so striker haven't scored.

And I fully agree with your 2nd paragraph. Na why I just dey pray we'll get a more rounded striker next summer. Even tho laca isn't the rounded striker we all want but for now he's trying his best in that role which is helping us win games
