Lets be objective. I doubt if many of the allowances r on monthly basis. Some may b on yearly basis. My opinion sha Check this out. (Said amount a senator earn per annum) x (360 say the exchange rate) x total number of senators= 90billion naira jus for senators alone o. News like this are enough to make more Nigerians develop mental illness. Let's add the salaries and allowances of the Governors, Ministers, Heads of Parastatals and other politically exposed persons. Then we would know that the country can't just progress with such profligacy. These are the sorts of wastages and unfair distribution of wealth that Labour ought to be seen agitating for. 2 Likes |
