All the reason you gave as to why they invaded not one was achieved, yet you're trying to change the narrative. You are correct. Invasion of even a small country is not as easy as people think. Even America didn’t find it easy fighting Talibans in Afghanistan.

America lost only 13 people in 20 years. USA acheieved all her military objectives in Afghanistan.

USSR lost 9,000 during it's 10 years invasions of Afghan and still lost. This contributed to the fall of USSR.
