Snyder fans keep on shitting on anything that doesn't have him on it.....DC's had some duds since he left but they've also had some hits...Same can't be said if when he was in charge....
I've said it numerous times, Snyder can't write to save his life, he's also a spectacle director and he isn't even that good...If I want spectacle, Bay still d....

After seeing the things they've said about Peacemaker and Suicide squad/Birds of prey, it's toxic fanning all over the board....

As for Batman flopping, not possible...Had a billion+ as my prediction before China was involved and then reaffirmed it after China was confirmed but it seems it's gonna do around 850 with the average DC multiplier of 2.70 leg wise.....

If it does pull a Joker on us and legs to billion +, WB fit start DCEU 2 on top en head....

ZSJL was released solely because HBOMax needed content and lacked respectable subscriber numbers. If it did superbly as Snyder fans claim then a spin-off or continuation of Snyder's vision woulda lived on even tho restricted to HBOMax.

The only reason I'm seeing WB holding back and not going forward with the plan anymore is probably cos it HBOMax streaming numbers didn't meet expectations, especially when comparing it to its hype and massive engagements. And HBOMax is flourishing ever since they followed on with their plans (day & date) despite criticism.

I'm not being pessimistic or trying to pull down the Snyder fanbase (the level headed ones) of course, but at times we need to be realistic.

I really don't see any continuation of the Snyderverse or change in status quo anytime soon even with the much anticipated arrival of NEW management from Discovery. This present mangt are new AT&T and little was done for the verse. I don't see that changing with the incoming merger as well. IF the current PLAN of direction by DC Films continues to gain success, that restoration dream is as good as a fantasy.
One thing I sha hope and pray at the end sha, is the return of Cavill as Supes and an MOS sequel. I wouldn't even mind much Snyder returning for that if not for his cult-like followers.

Time will tell sha....

And it's that toxic behaviour and trolling of BoP and TSS that has made me slowly hate that fanbase, the bots. They still have the good ones and balanced Snyder fans but those ones are in the minority.

That Peacemaker win was a huge blow to that Cult. Nothing has hit HARDER than the shit that wasN't neeDED oR aSKEd foR...

If Flash turns out good and setting things straight and gaining general audience favor, then the Snyderverse is as good as dead.

Na serious fasting and prayer dem need like dis.

One thing people tend to forget these days is that WB is now playing the long game. It's disappointing that they didn't have this resolve during the days of critics shitting on early DCEU movies.

The Batman 9/10

This is the best Batman movie that is about Batman if know what I mean.

Robert Pattinson was very good in the role. Zoe Kravitz is a natural with the way she played Catwoman.
The Riddler is a 10/10 villain, Paul Dano is a scene stealer in this movie.
The biggest surprise was Colin Ferrell as Penguin. Especially when you consider the fact that Jonah Hill was Matt Reeves first choice to play Penguin. But after what Colin Ferrell did, everyone could say that he's perfect for this role.
I'm well and truly hyped for his spinoff show. It's going to drop next year, I hope.
Jeffery Wright as Jim Gordon is a match made in heaven.

The entire cast did well including John Turtoro and Andy Serkis.

The cinematography in this movie is next level. It is as mesmerizing as it is grandiose. Every shot in this movie is an excellent work of art.

The runtime was absolutely worth it. The movie is packed with story and the pacing was good. At first I thought it was too long but after seeing it, I don't think there's a scene that shouldn't be in this film.
Matt Reeves used this runtime well to flesh out his major characters. The Batman has a character arc and so does Catwoman. She's not just a sidekick here. I love the thing with Falcone cuz it gave her character more depth.

The action scenes were very good. That car chase scene was the best peice of action in a Batman movie. The trailers don't do it justice at all.
I love the way Batman fights. However, my only problem with the action is the plot armor used on Batman. Gunmen always shoot his chest and they never target the face.

In conclusion, the best thing about this movie is that it's Batman centric. It's officially the best Batman movie about Batman. TDK is a masterpiece but that movie was not about Batman.
His growth as a character was beautiful.
In the end he realizes that his methods was having a negative impact on the city cuz it inspired Riddler.
Like Minemrys pointed out "he starts off the movie as vengeance and end up as Batman".
The part where he was helping people in the end was beautiful. He transformed from a symbol of vengeance to a symbol of hope.

I also like that Gotham is a character in this movie. Gotham is truly Gotham and not Chicago like the Nolan movies.

Final rating 9/10

I can't wait to see it again when it drops on HBO Max next month.

No way Aquaman was gonna get anywhere near $800m to $1b with Avatar in the way....after the success of the first movie WB no fit play risky games with the sequel so I understand the move..... December to March is not too far if we're being honest...

it cud just remain as its own batman universe seperate from the main one, if WB are so smart, cavil shud feature in the flash and they shud reveal a recast of Affleck as the new DCEu Batman at the end of the flash. Cus Keaton being the replacement for Affleck no make sense. He is older

this is why ppl don't have confidence in DC, it's just some weeks ago they did the Superbowl trailer and now this, is it that they don't have long time fixed plan? This just made me lose confidence in the flash.

And this is one thing marvel don't do, if they move their movies it will be them bumping all down and not reshuffling like what WB just did

The Batman ......8.9/10

This is a well-written movie with, the right pacing, the music score is superb. Also, the sound effects was a joy to behold. The noir cinematography was visual aesthetically pleasing. Great fight choreography. Perfect chase scene. Practical effects at its finest!!!

Robert Pattinson's Batman is definitely a different take on the Caped Crusader unlike what we've seen on-screen before. Bruce deals with his psychology and his family's dark past and his inner demons. It also shines as it brought out Batman's detective capabilities on the forefront and Bruce Wayne's reclusive nature.
This movie showed Batman in his most vulnerable state.

This is probably the first movie that explored the TRUE relationship between Batman and Catwoman. It brings out their chemistry in a way Anne Hathaway's portrayal couldn't in The Dark Knight Rises. Zoe Kravitz killed the role. She made it HERS. Dealt with the character's struggles and motivations instead of focusing too much on her love tangle with Batman.

Colin Farrell did a brilliant job portraying Oswald Cobblepot aka Penguin. Unrecognisable in prosthetics but delivered a very noteworthy performance. One of the bright sides of the movie.
Terturo as Falcone was exceptional. Andy Serkis was good as Alfred.

The biggest scene-stealer has to be Paul Dano with his brilliance as The Riddler. Damn, what a performance! The voice, the motivations, the brilliance, the mannerisms. Brilliantly written character.

The third act reveal has to be the biggest cinematic climax I've watched in a while. Cinematic masterpiece!


Thumbs up to Matt Reeves for this beauty to DC. This is definitely Oscar-worthy no cap. Yeah, I said it.

It felt long (meandering), especially the time it took to get to the final 3rd act, but still didn't feel like a 3hrs movie all the same. That's how good the movie was. Felt more like 2hrs15mn.
