A fellow by name Whiteangel opened a thread titled "Why South East Must Support PDP Zoning The President To The North". The dude called himself an Igbo and gave reasons to why Ndigbo should continue her servitude to PDP due to Umahi's recent court travails. These persons are not new to us with their "I told you so" analysis. If they don't come out from their cave to give their daft analysis when unfortunate situations occur, you see them jubilate whenever the SE is bleeding. 1. Take for instance the insecurity in the SE. Rather than condemn the activities of the UGM, you see them celebrate the killings and even go as far as appraise the situation. 2. To give his reasons why the PDP shouldn't zone the Presidency to the South East, Whiteangel made some spurious claims. He claims that the SE is still buiding bridges and not ready, and that the PDP rather than accede to the noble Igbo Presidency demand should zone its ticket to the north and Vice to the SS. Imagine a self-acclaimed Igbo asking that his zone be denied the Presidency despite the PDP enjoying votes from the region since 1999? Even the thought of Vice to the SS gave him out as a non-Igbo. Who knows what tribe the OP hails from in the South-South. No Igbo in his right sense will ask that VP goes to the SS who recently enjoyed Presidency for 6 years under GEJ and Vice for 2 year with Yar'adua. 3. In the said thread, Whiteangel used the current travails of Umahi to support his argument why the APC dislikes the SE. I have come to realize that most of the dudes demarketing Igbo Presidential tend to use the word "I'm Igbo" before giving their sentimental reasons. These ones tend to form the noisy minority on social media while true Igbos who form the majority tend to watch from the sidelines. I don't speak for the APC, but if we are sincere, we would observe that the APC seems to be more objective towards Ndigbo than the PDP. Buhari might have said uncharitable words during his inauguration to the PDP strongholds of the SS/SE but he still remains objective in his distribution of infrastructures across the country. Umahi's case cannot be used as a parameter to judge the party's towards Igbo Politicians. Umahi's case is still in the courts and dude remains Governor until the Supreme Court says otherwise. Besides Umahi in the APC, we have notable Igbos who joined the party such as Rochas, Onu, Ngige right from its inception, do we say that the APC hunted these ones? Now compare them to the PDP who claims to love Ndigbo. Its on record that from 1999 to 2015 when the party was defeated, no Igbo was found worthy to be alloted the Presidential nor VP ticket of the party. It was usually Senate President which ended in 2007 (after how Obj used it to denigate Ndigbo), and a few ministerial positions and the much hyped Army chief. Nothing was done about infrastructure (except under the short stint of Late Yar'adua) and nothing was done to ensure that Ndigbo got the party Presidential ticket. And yet, a so-called self acclaimed Igbo son said the party has the east in the bag that rather than find Ndigbo worthy for her Presidential ticket come 2023, should rather give it to the NE and SS. Isn't that funny? 2. The OP went further to demarket the SE Igbo Presidential initiative and considered his suppose region not fit for the mantle. In truth, when I see such written rubbish, I get the vibes of enemies of Ndigbo. I have come to understand that anyone who wants the continued maginalization of the SE is either an IPOB stalwart or a non-Igbo. For IPOB, one stroke that will end their business franchise and mass propaganda in Igboland is Igbo Presidency. Just as Obasanjo as President elevate the SW politically and infrastructurally, Buhari as President elevated the NW in all facet of our national lives, and GEJ as President put to an end the Ijaw militancy business franchise of MEND( that has culminated to them earning the juicy dominance of the Amnesty programme among other oil producing tribes in the region, the Ministry of Niger-Delta and NDDC), an Igbo Presidency will silent the Biafran agitation championed by business men and provide the needed infrastructural and pan-Nigerian political growth in Igboland. 3. In his final submission, the acclaimed Igbo son warned that any Igbo pushing for the PDP to zone the Presidency to the SE without the APC doing same is a Sabo. When I hear clowns used the word Sabo in their quest to intimidate Ndigbo, such person easily gives himself out as a daft IPOB member or one from the SS trying to eat from the political dearth of the SE. His acclaimed PDP darling despite winning votes in the SE since 1999 should be seen as saints and shouldn't be mandated to zone their Presidential ticket to Ndigbo while APC the demon. By rights and not with any apology, the PDP should take Ndigbo for granted come 2023 and kiss their existence goodbye from Igboland. |

Anyone using Umahi's case to reinforce PDP decades of stupidy in the SE needs his head re-examined. I shook my head in shame after reading that misinformation by the Whiteangel dude. Umahi remains Governor of Ebonyi and the pride of Ndigbo. Whoever does not like it should hug transformer. And whoever is appealing to the PDP to zone its Presidential ticket to the NE and Vice to the SS, should get his shovel ready for PDP burial in Igboland. |

EILTD:I tell you bro. Rather than write with objectivity, some clowns will just be talking rubbish. PDP should deny Ndigbo the Presidency according to Whiteangel. We shall see how this boast will materialize come 2023. |

SE are not interested in been the candidate of Pdp if apc doesn't give SE the candidate too.The way Nigeria is now, a SE candidate cannot win election in a political party when Igbos don't even vote massively. Its either Apc and PDP gives SE the ticket or PDP gives a candidate than can win election in 2023. |

HIGHESTPOPORI:The SE doesn't need your sermon, take it to your people. I guess it was SW votes that made Obasanjo President in 1999. How about GEJ, how many votes did he got from Bayelsa and the SS to emerge President in 2011? On 2023 Ndigbo stand. |

The SE would be better of as Vice-president in 2023. It would afford building better inroads into national politics. Take a que from SW 2015. It's not always all commando, you need tact. |

Esseite:So we should accept the VP in 2023 and discard our Presidential aspirations because the PDP says so? And what have we benefitted from the PDP to accept that demand? You lots in the SS can join Atiku as running mate but limit your campaigns to your states. Our noble demands for the Presidential ticket from both the PDP and APC still stands. What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. Ohaneze Ndigbo have made their stance and all true Igbo supports them. Any Igbo lining behind the VP position in Igboland will be excommunicated. We rather elevate a dead party in the SE and decamp massively to it and begin a much more brutal political response that will shake this country to her feet post 2023. |

Bonessaw:Resurrecting a dead party wont work, because a party filled with just one tribe/region is pointless in national politics.. ACN, CPC, APGA, SDP etc... In as much as the IGBO has not benefitted from the PDP, atleast they would be benefitting the VP which inclines them to deeper national politics. If the presidency would be micro zoned to the region, it would be best, but we both know that wont happen. A SW muslim clinching the ticket with a Northern as vice would give the SE candidate a good run because of the inroads it has built between 2015 - 2023. These bridges need to be built and it's not done in a day or few months. Which is why Peter Obi said that if its microzoned, he would contest, but if its not, "he would consider vice to probably Atiku". It's a bitter pill, but thats African politics. |

Esseite:Well said. A lot of intrigues will happen come 2023. But we hope it favours us despite our disadvantages. Cheers. |
