Hussein Lawal, a native of Durun, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State, Wednesday began trekking from Abuja to Lagos to show support for the presidential bid of a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

Lawal, 30, addressed newsmen before he embarked on the journey from Abuja City Gate.

He was holding a small bag with Tinubu’s picture with the inscription: ‘For continuity. 2023 Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the sure answer and sure replacement for Baba.’

He said, “I want to sacrifice for the Nigerian youths by trekking from Abuja to Lagos to go and beg Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to contest and be Nigerian leader after President Buhari.

“If it’s money, he has made money. He needs to be the president to transform Nigeria. He needs that power to transform the Nigerian youths that have long been suffering under various leaderships.

“So, from the City Gate in Abuja, I’d be leaving for Lagos to terminate the journey at Tafawa Balewa Square.”


He said, “I want to sacrifice for the Nigerian youths by trekking from Abuja to Lagos to go and beg Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to contest and be Nigerian leader after President Buhari.

Affirming that Buhari failed to transformed Nigeria. Seems suffering no dey tire these people.Thank goodness, he acknowledged that the youth have suffered under various leaderships including the outgoing catastrophe Tinubu foist on them.

Eagerly awaiting whoever emerges as the Presidential candidate of the APC and what he or she will say about the government it is hoping to replace.

Whether the continuity flag will be flown with the glaring failings we have witnessed the past few years or the 'change' the 'change' mantra, which will be acknowledging the failure of the platform on which he or she stands.

In a working democracy the ruling party with all the baggage of an under performing tenure will stand little chance at the polls.
But this is not a working democracy we have in Nigeria.... and Nigerians seriously run the risk of reinforcing failure.

If the APC wins the next elections it will be clear that we simply do not have visions of a better Nigeria or the knowledge and courage to work one out.
