I boarded a Government bus in Ibadan about 5 years ago, there was a brouhaha between the ticket seller and a weaning mother who claimed she gave the ticket seller N1000 but was not given her change. The ticket seller denied the money and an argument ensured till the destination I.e Mokola Roundabout.
The woman was crying, then she did something, She picked her phone, THE BUS NUMBER AND CUSTOMER CARE LINES were boldly written in the Bus.
She called the lines and reported the issue, there was prompt replies from the lines and the ticket seller was bombarded with calls.
He explained that if you have change to collect, they will write it at the back of your ticket and sign but nothing like that. Though I later discovered the woman is a scammer cos I caught her somewhere else with same allegation_N1k change from a cosmetic seller. That can't be a coincidence.
My point is this, what if Customer care lines and Social Media handles were written side by side with the Bus number in that BRT bus?
What if she was able to bombard the Customer care lines with the information she sent to her friend and the Driver bombarded with calls? Could he not had reversed his actions?
Can the buses not be made to write Customer care numbers, social media handles and even revealed Drivers' identities to passengers to call whenever they need help?

If Nigeria were working, a simple 911 call or the designated number for Lagos would have helped her.
If Nigeria was working, public buses would have CCTV camera.

We have lots of criminal minds in this country. Even if the numbers are displayed in the bus, nobody will pick the victims call undecided

That's my point, it is a pity she still lost the battle despite all her efforts just because the cry for help didn't go to the correct direction. If the numbers were available, she might have survived cos it seems she wasn't Killed on that very day.

What about Social Media uandle? If she had tagged alongside her friend and the issue went viral, no matter how criminal minded they are, they should have intervened to save face.
