Please Car specialists in the house I need your advice.
I bought a Tokunbo Toyota Camry 2005 four plugs engine this January and after the mechanic changed the oil and filter and did some repairs underneath (shocks and brake pads) I brought an electrician aka Rewire to do a scan and do some minor electrical connections( steering control for the radio was not working) the scan result returned no errors. On the dashboard there is no check engine sign etc..so I felt the car was good to go.
But I noticed the fuel consumption was a bit high, the most alarming was I bought fuel #3000 this past Saturday evening, went to church with my family on Sunday morning,took my kid brother's family home, a distance not too far. Same Sunday evening I went out to hang with friends (I stay st Jakande estate, Isolo and went to hang out with my friends at Festac), I didn't go out on Monday and Tuesday, went out today(Wednesday) just a little distance and the fuel is already showing yellow and almost at E level.
I have bought fuel #3000 on 2 occasions and noticed this poor fuel economy too.
I feel the fuel consumption is rather too high. Also I noticed the fan starts immediately I turn on the ignition even without starting the engine fully, could this be the cause of the poor fuel economy?
Please how do I go about this problem?

Well, the best way to know is to get how many kilometers your 3k fuel is taking you. Are you the one that order for direct fan connection? Or you bought that way? It would surely affect fuel consumption because your hardly drive longer distance so your engine would not hit the operating temperature

You can give a specialist to return to factory settings but always check your dashboard to avoid overheating

3000 naira fuel is just 13 liters now oooo...

Bros, all these places wey you go don nearly pass 10 liters oooo...

The best way to measure fuel consumption is to state the distance covered in miles or kilometers.

You can't simply tell us you drove to church and back.

Also, the rewire guy you called connected your fans directly to the ignition and probably removed your thermostat. That will definitely affect fuel economy. As your engine will hardly reach operating temperature making it to idle at higher RPMs, thus consuming more fuel.

Call the rewire person you said worked on the car and ask him why he connected the fans directly. I'm assuming you didn't buy the car as naija used.

Check If your car catalyst is still intact and if yes then don't connect your fan directly, leave the thermostat... And the most of it all is that full your tank and enjoy the best of your fuel..

Restore back to factory setting,enter filling station full ur tank,as u drive out reset ur trip A to zero,frm den to reserve,come bck n tell us how many miles full tank carry u....

V4 ,3000 fuel, 15litres. Do u know your tank size. See u oh. With AC on 24/7, God really like you oh. Well why u go buy wetin big pass u, so u no fit dey buy full tank.

Naso so 3k fuel and I'm sure e go be like every 2 to 3 days. Hahahaha, dealer don play u wayo. No listen to anybody oh!I use God take beg u,dey drive am like that. Highest them go service your injectors mouth,burewire,mechanic taking out this and dat for tokunbo car. I doubt if na tokunbo car,u bought a naija used camry and still can't afford to buy full tank for once. Some pipo wicked sha.
