The bank no longer relies on insurance refunds (they used to years ago)

Hence numerous warnings, issued before you transfer funds .......

I am not only speaking from what people say, but from incidents I have been personally involved in........

If funds cannot be recovered and the victim is wholly responsible...... The victim paid school fees .........

I'm not talking about bank here, i'm talking insurance company, Paypal or Ebay will not offer you money back guarantee if they don't have a good insurance policy that covers fraudulent transactions .

Boss!!! I ordered the IPhone 13 Pro max from apple, it was taking almost 2 months for me to get it. In desperation I saw an ad on Shpock for £700.

Went out there to pick it up, the boys were acting weird, they didn’t want me to open the phone etc. they wanted to see the cash first. Took out the cash, they already open the phone before I came back.

I was like nope, I wanted to open the phone, anyways IMEI number was different from the box, they then wanted to reduced it to £500. Long story short - It was a fake Chinese version of the phone. I pretend that I was on the phone with my girlfriend, I drove off whilst they were chasing me.

They will, infact that is their preferred platform as they believe that the victim will get the money back.

A scammer don’t give a toss if you get your monies back or not. They want less security on your money. That way they can get your money and not have to answer back to you or anyone else.

I believe this is possible too with churn and burn accounts.
Same way people use bank accounts without identification for fraud in 9ja.

The most important thing here is for people to do their dd before buying or sending money, i have bought stuff from facebook marketplace and send money and the seller sent my item by post, i have also sold stuff and get paid and i post it to the buyer.

Scammers are not always difficult to spot in facebook marketplace or Ebay if you pay close attention to their profile and what they say.

I am actually working but i am getting worried.

Ray7878:

That’s a bit bizarre. Do you have any job centres around where you live? If you do then go there. Because it shouldn’t take 4 months to send you yours via the post.

Yes you can work without it, and claim back the taxes if they put you on BR. It’s just bizarre that it’s over 4 months. Reason why I said that is because due to this Covid restrictions nowadays, most things are done online and quicker. You don’t need to go and sit in an office and start explaining yourself. But anyways it would come through, just make sure you claim your taxes back, because am sure they would be taxing you a lot of BR.

I'm confused.

I guess its how I worked it ... clumsily cheesy

There are two options whan paying through PayPal directly . 1. Paying for goods and services , this comes with a littl fee that would be taken from the seller . In dispute you are protected and PayPal will give you your money back

2. Paying friends and family. Never use this when paying for a goods. No protection as this meant for friends and family. Here there is no fee to the seller and can be used if you want to send me money .. you can try it and send me £1000 wink

There's nothing wrong with outsourcing.

It's more like delegation, however, one must supervise/review the process/outcome.

Your brother's friend is super lazy.

The least he could have done was to check for plagiarism and errors.

It's blatant cheating. I know of people who were caught and expelled by their uni for this and a report sent to UKBA to get their visa curtailed.

Let's assume you outsource an MSc/PhD dissertation. MSc/PhD dissertations have as part of their assessment an oral defence, and there is a reason for this. Students who have ''outsourced'' their work stick out like a sore thumb as they wouldn't know what they are talking about in an oral defence. Plus, I don't know how people who graduate via ''outsourcing'' can defend that degree in any work environment.

This your story reminds me of a friend's laptop purchase ..........

Back in days, laptops was very very expensive..... A friend negotiated with a buyer, they meet at surrey quays.......

He tested the laptop, was happy with his purchase. He paid, they shook and parted...........

Little did he know the laptop got swapped at some point, to bottles of water (real life story)........ grin

First, revert to the primary conversation to understand the context of my comment.

Secondly, read through the line and realise that I simply use outsourcing as a example.

If monitoring and evaluation isn't necessary, even the school/lecturer wouldn't have detected the plagiarism.

Yes, plagiarism is wrong but to play the devil's advocate: do you think everyone who graduated from school did their assignments and projects themselves - both in the developed and developing countries?

We can establish the morality or otherwise of outsoucing assignment, but has and would it change anything?

Delegation for student thesis, like seriously .... that what happens when people are so use to doing the wrong things. Then there is a justification to want to normalise and even give it a word

Let's not mix up the issues: Outsourcing isn't plagiarism.

May I ask you;

Are all outsourced work plagiarised?

Are all plagiarised work outsourced?

Is it possible to outsource and be fully prepared to defend same?

I have no support fibre for plagiarism but outsourcing a project/assignment for whatever reason isn't out place, in as much as you can follow through on the process, review and defend your outcome.

Hello,

I applied for my NIN in November didn't get it after sending photocopies of the documents through post as requested, waited for 16 weeks it didn't come, so I applied again, nothing like post again.
I was even planning to send the documents though didn't see a mail like the first which requested for the documents.
Anyways, I reapplied again and got it under 5 working days

The moment you pay via eBay, PayPal would inform seller of funds......

But funds are not immediately available..........

As long as it was a successful payment the seller will have access to that money immediately even before the item is marked as dispatched.

Good Afternoon Everyone

I arrived safely in Glasgow few days ago and I am settling down fine.

Thanks to everyone who is contributing on this page with vital information.

I have some enquiries to make;

I was given a Lebara SIM back at TLC in Naija, if the data get exhausted, how do I recharge for a new one.

My Landlord told me that Scottish power will read my meters directly and the monthly charges of the previous tenants would be deducted as direct debit for few months before they regularise my charges and make a refund if I have a lower usage.

I am a newbie here in Glasgow and I will appreciate any helpful information.
