Don't forget that Peter Obi left a debt of N127billion yet Obiano succeed... In other words the debt was inherited from Peter Obi.

The N100billion debt will not stop Soludo from succeeding....
Watch out for a greater Anambra

Peter Obi left office over 8yrs ago with investments of over 75 billions which subsequently yielded profits. In addition of the profit earned from the investment Obiano had over 200 billions in his hands which he must account for. You can't save him!

ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE INNOSON OPPORTUNITY
The landmark progress made by Innoson motors should act as a catalyst and road map to kickstart and encourage industrialization in our dear state.It should attract government attention and support for entrepreneurship in Anambra state in particular and southeast in general.
Chief innocent Chukwuma by some sheer entrepreneurial wizardry and innovative push has done what everyone thought was impossible before now .Like play,like play he established the first and only privately owned vehicle assembly plant indigenous to Nigeria in particular and Africa as a whole.Even the whole world have since taken notice of this incredible feat,CNN,Aljazeera,BBC,et al have all been to Nnewi to “confirm” the rumored vehicle plant as a “reality “Innoson deserves state and institutional support.

Anambra state government should be in the forefront of marketing Innoson brand,this should be the new face of Anambra technological advancement,innovation and progress........southeast governors should also key into this technological advancement,but,as the igbos say “onye ana eduje ogu na ebu uzo” .Anambra state government should lead this marketing onslaught .All official vehicles should be Innoson ,intact,Gov Soludo should include Chief Chukwuma in his entourage for any future investors-seeking trips ,just as federal government moves around with Dangote........we cannot blame others for low patronage when our government is guilty of same ........
Gov Soludo has started very well by using Innoson vehicle as official car.He could even commission Innoson to make more specialized security cars for his use .
Innoson has put Anambra on the economic,political and social map of the world through a successful investment and employment of citizens,the job of every government is to provide needed social stability and security through employment generation,Innoson has done this.By helping keep Innoson in business,Anambra stands to gain a lot,just like Tata did in India and eventually brought affordable cars and other household accessories to every household in India,Anambra can help her indigent citizens “afford” Innoson ,l bet you that if Innoson was dangote,Kano state civil service and even the whole northern civil service will all officially use dangote cars .......this is the way development happens ,let’s not miss this opportunity.

Anambra should help Innoson sale it’s vehicles and should do so proudly,this is the original “nkea bu nke anyi “,it should even pay Innoson “advert” fees to include an inscription “proudly made in Anambra “ on each vehicle made and sold by Innoson.......by “sharing” in Innoson success,an impression that Anambra is a business land of milk and honey would have been established beyond doubt.This is how it works in every serious economy that wants to progress ,Nnewi merits an economic and industrial hub status,Anambra government in particular and southeast governments in general should be interested in clusters like Nnewi,Aba,Onitsha,et al.......through provision of infrastructure .........this requires leadership.....

Many years ago,president Clinton as US president flew to Japan to meet and beg the aging 89 year old owner of Sanyo electronics to reverse his company’s decision to close its factories in USA because of poor patronage and sales ,the adamant Sanyo owner refused to bulge even after Clinton offer tax rebates and incentives,president Clinton ,in a typical godfather mien then made an irresistible proposal,offering to help Sanyo sell its products all over America by getting Walmart (America biggest retail outlet then ) to display Sanyo products in all their outlets ,a deal was sealed and 10,500 jobs was saved for the American economy......

Our problem in Nigeria appears to be the monthly Abuja oil money ,most governors don’t care whether businesses thrive or not in their states because government is run independent of employment generated taxes ........the prices of Innoson cars will crash when it is deliberately “assisted” to remain in business .....southeast governors should even buy Innoson vehicles and dash or donate out........Anambra should lead this charge by “donating “ Innoson vehicles to sister southeast states whenever the need arises on “humanitarian grounds “.All the “foreign aid” we hear about do not always ever come in “cash”,America gets it manufacturers to produce needed goods,pay them ,tax them and then ship the goods to assisted countries,including weapons,that’s how American jobs are created ,saved and maintained..........

INNOSON is our heritage,the pride of south-easterners and the original “nkea bu nke anyi”,let’s preserve our heritage!!!
Finally,Gov Soludo,should be interested in "developing" Nnewi in an expansive manner that would attract more investors to the town.There should be a deliberate plan to build new cities,Anambra is also ripe to start having dual carriage roads.

This should be our opportunity for a new beginning.

The former Managing Director of Diamond Bank, Dr. Alex Otti, has cleared the air of doubts in the minds of cynics who believe that the N75 billion savings the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, left for the State was a hoax.

Otti, in a statement, praised Peter Obi for his financial prudence which enabled him to save up N75 billion in both local and foreign currencies for Anambra State as a governor before leaving office. According to him, the dollar component of the savings is now worth over N95 billion.

Otti explained that it was through a high level of managerial ability that Peter Obi was able to achieve a great financial feat ‘in a state that was reputed to have been owing civil servants and pensioners’, by clearing off all debts inherited from his predecessor and still left behind a fortune for his successor.

COVID 19: Anambra Discovers 4 New Ventilators Procured By Peter Obi’s Govt

Confirming the N75 billion savings, Otti, who was the Chairman of Diamond Bank, one of the banks where the money was domiciled, stated again, as he had done many times before, that Peter Obi left a whopping N75 billion for the future generation of the state.

Speaking on the Dollar component of the savings, he said: “Like yours truly had done in the past, one can attest to the fact that some $155million was invested in the tier two capital of three Nigerian banks with maturities of about 5 years at interest rates of up to 9% per annum to the credit of the State.

As at the time the investments were made, the Naira equivalent of the funds was about N25b. If those funds were rolled over at maturity in 2019, they would be worth about N62b today. If interest is assumed to remain at 9% for the past 6 years, an additional N33.5b would have accrued to bring the present value of the investments to over N95b. This is one of the advantages of prudence and financial literacy”, Otti wrote.

Buhari Warns Governors Over Judiciary & Legislative Order

Otti, who said Peter Obi successfully cut off profligacies in governance, described Peter Obi as ‘one of the few leaders of the country that has his head properly screwed on his neck,’ noting that ‘in truth he is a true example of excellent leadership and accountability in today’s world where such attributes are in very short supply’.

Otti opined that it was the financial imprudence and lack of savings culture experienced at different levels of government that has almost crippled the nation after few months of lockdown. He therefore urged political leaders and public office holders to borrow a leaf from Obi’s prudence, financial responsibility and savings culture in their public and private lives.

It would be recalled that Peter Obi won the award of “Thisday Governor of the Decade.”

How about this from the horses mouth...lmao. Otondo.

This was a reply to your post from the other thread...lol. Ula ga egbo onye nwulu anwu..lol

You are not wise and you are not brilliant.
What is Legacy?
What is project?
If you know what Legacy is, then you will know that it could be tangible or intangible.
Till the world end, the revolution Peter Obi brought in education, financial management and other sectors will be discussed in Nigeria. Tell me what else is Legacy.
When Anambra state was struggling in JAMB and WAEC ranking, we were all aware. But Peter Obi investment in education changed the story.
Tell me again what is Project.
Upper Iweka facelift
Dredging of Agu Awka.
Amaku Teaching Hospitabl
Igbariam campus of ANSU
Etc are all tangible Legacy projects of Peter Obi. But my rational self takes pleasure in intangible Legacy projects because those ones outlive the initiators.
I want you to reason along this line so you don’t embarrass yourself

You idiots should shut up for once, Obiano is not the first Governor of Anambra and yet was expected to fix all Anambra problems Overnight. He has played his part, invested in many revenue generating assets that will boost the state revenue and provide more funds for the state to be able to afford good roads and other quality projects, again nothing will come out from the EFCC witch hunt as he served the state very well. You losers who dont understand governance need to shut up. And Onitsha is not the only city in Anambra

Anambra Finances: Soludo has taken a bold step
For every trend, situation and development, we all have our personal opinions and we are all entitled to them.
Thus, this is just my opinion, my entitlement and it is a long note!
Yesterday, the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo said (as reposted by my dear brother, Mazi Ejimofor Opara);
"The audited account of Anambra State as at 31st December, 2021 is published, anybody can access it. You can get it, you see our assets, liabilities and so on. And then, of course, as at the last date. What you now have to do is between the audited account as of the end of the year and as at the day of handover. You know if there were further liabilities and all of that.
"But, in terms of the audited account certified and published already, yea, everybody knows that the State's finances are not quite robust to put it mildly. The debt probably is in the range of hundred and something billion. In terms of debt. And then, cash, from what I saw in the end of it, a few hundred millions. Say 300 to 400 million Naira.
"That's what the state has, I mean that's the base. But we are still going to have the reconciliations and all the accounts from January to the date that we took over and would put it out there"
End of quote!
Without minding the sensations, misinformation and cruise-calls & subs that emanated from these clearly stated words of our dear Governor which were obviously used by mischievous many to mock the State Government especially Chief Willie Obiano and his family, to trend or simply to join the cruise;
I want to point out 5 major takeaways in the revelation made by Prof Soludo:
1. Anambra State Government Cash at hand is 300 to 400 million;
2. Anambra State debt is hundred and something billion... less than 200bn;
3. Anambra State finances is not robust;
4. The Anambra State audited account is published and anyone can access and assess it;
5. Reconciliation of accounts will still be done to actuate the state of accounts as at March 17, 2022 and that will be published;
If you understand any other thing aside these 5 pointers, then you either misconstrue the lucid words of Prof Soludo or deliberately using the moment to throw punches and catch cruise.
As Onye Anambra, who is a bit aware of how Obiano started and some of the challenges faced, I tell you this:
Obiano has written his name on gold, no matter what anyone thinks about it and no amount of insults or bickering can alter that unerasable fact.
He is a man who governed Anambra State in a time our dear country faced recession twice and he refused taking bailout funds from the Federal Government;
Yet, he was able to meet all the obligations of running the government, met major needs of the people, paid workers salaries, brought back night life, catalysed lots of new ventures, opened up many villages, lit up Anambra State, gave youths the platform to excel, made Anambra the safest State (before the recent dip in security), gave us identity to pride with, etc;
And aside all these, Obiano will ever be remembered for the following legacies:
He has at least one Infrastructural project bearing his name in all the 181 communities in Anambra State (grassroots legacy projects through the Community Choose-Your-Project Initiative);
He built the International Airport which is already generating revenue;
He built the International Convention Center which is expected to stimulate a chain of revenue generating activities;
He built the Awka City Stadium which is already hosting National League games with Rangers of Enugu presently using it as their home soil;
He built the 3 flyovers in Awka which changed the skyline of the State's Capital in addition to 13 other bridges including the longest bridge in South East Nigeria;
He opened up the agro-value chain making ndi Anambra major food producers and wealth creators as farmers, off takers, marketers, etc;
He nurtured and expanded Digital Entrepreneurship making a lot of ndi Anambra especially the youths appreciate and gainfully utilise the treasures in the Digital Space;
Amongst many others!
The only crime Obiano committed is not doing all that we wished for especially in areas of road construction & touts menace... He didn't construct or maintain as much as we wished!
You see this very crime? It will be committed by all as no leader will ever do all!
That said, no human is perfect... So, Obiano had his flaws, too!
But we are sober and some feeling pathetic because we'd prefer to dwel only on that area he "failed" without thanking God for the many areas he did amazingly well;
Some are even using this opportunity to once again tag their fellow Social Media Players as "erats"; isn't that very low?
The interesting thing about name-calling is that, when a player repeatedly calls another player an idiot, the audience will begin to believe that players are also known as idiots including the player that thinks his colleague is an idiot.
Bikonu brethren, it's time to face the challenges of today:
Chief Willie Obiano has come and gone, he has done his best and has moved on;
If for nothing, he believed in Prof Soludo and against all odds, stood by him to be his successor, fully convinced that Mr Governor will take Anambra to a greater height.
It's Obiano's call to clear himself with EFCC and many of us believe that he will do so and come out stronger, just as required by law; that's why you see #IStandWithWillie or #IStandWithObiano, here and there.
But if you are too disturbed that you must dwel on what Prof Soludo said yesterday, then continue but show decorum and exhibit intelligence by noting that:
5. A reconciled account will be published later to confirm the actual status of the State's Account as at March 17, 2022 that our dear governor took over;
By then, we will know all the accessible funds and not only cash available, we will know the actual debt figure as well as the liabilities owed the contractors for projects already awarded.
This is normal, just like Obiano inherited N75bn in cash and investment with only N9bn as accessible funds as at then and with over N108bn in liabilities owed the contractors for projects already awarded.
Then we will also know if the investments that Obiano inherited are no longer there, both the bonds and companies.
4. You can look for the audited account of Anambra State to be rightly informed before casting aspersions on the State Government and its leadership, both former and present;
3. Due to the National cum global economic crisis, no State in Nigeria has a robust financial... In fact, Anambra State is one of the healthiest. 4th best economy in Nigeria and the number in South East;
2. Anambra State Debt is less than N120bn according to the recent release by Debt Management Office and that's when you combine but the domestic debt of N55bn and the foreign debt of $110m (@ N560 per Dollar)
Only 5 States are owning less than Anambra out of 36 States in Nigeria plus FCT; and in South East, other States except Ebonyi owe much more than Anambra.
Again, we will know how the debts were incurred and when... Are they all new debts under Obiano are there old debts and unpaid counterpart funds that have been accumulating?
1. The cash at hand of 300 to 400 million could increase or decrease after careful mop up of all MDAs to certify their balances.
It's that simple!
I took time to write this not to defend anyone but to give us direction and encourage healthy and quality engagement by rightly informing many of us;
...That's why I tried using the layman's language!
Personally, I look at the positives in what Prof Soludo said and that's why I reiterate that he has taken a bold step by giving a hint of Anambra Finances.
This revelation of his, will put an end or at least slow down the opposition who are doing everything possible to instigate a rift between him and his predecessor;
Which they will start by causing a cold war amongst APGA Digi-Family and dividing past and present political appointees into "Obiano People and Soludo People";
They do not come with love for anyone or our dear State... They are pained and are doing so much to disintegrate the APGA family even if it means putting the name of our dear State in the mud.
Again, the revelation by Prof Soludo has killed the fake news by the opposition that Anambra has a debt of over N400bn instead of the less than N120bn released by DMO;
This revelation has also made it impossible for us to have years long bitter argument over the state of Anambra Finances like we had during the last regime.
For 8 years that Obiano was the Governor of Anambra State, he faced a coordinated attack on his person, his family, his administration and on anyone who dared to support him;
Those who led the attacks have today claimed to be watchdogs who were only criticising and shouting against bad governance... They're now denigrating those who stood for the State and defending their ill-fated gruesome war; hmmm!
May such people and such attacks not be faced by our dear Governor, may we all unite to support Prof Soludo;
APGA has been a blessing to ndi Anambra through the Obi-Obiano and now Soludo transition... Let's not lose this fact!
Today we have:
First: Obi who handed over Savings;
Second: Obiano handing over less than N120bn debt + revenue generating Airport, ICC, Stadium, etc;
Third: Soludo who will hand over mega legacy projects and a very robust finance!
Gentlemen, let's rejoice... A better future is for a better ndi Anambra!
NB: I have my reservations about Obiano's administration and I have my opinions on why Akpokuedike "failed" in some areas but I don't have to post them here just to appear woke and make you happy... I make use of internal communication to air such views as long as such channel is open and effective!
The bottom line is that;
Soludo Solution Is HERE... Let's Support HIM!
I Am Engr Ifeanyi ANIAGOH... And I'm Proudly Onye Anambra!!

Reason why Obiano made Ford the official car of Anambra State House of Assembly is because Coscharis (Cosmos Mmaduka) is the franchise owner of Ford motors.

Coscharis who is also the soul distributor of BMW, Range Rover, Jaguar, Rolls-Royce... is the subsidiary owner of Anambra rice brand.

The mathematics is simple: Coscharis pays tax to Anambra state government. ie. both Coscharis group and ANSG will smile to the bank.

There a thousands of reasons why Anambra is the best.

I am so disappointed with Peter Obi for the roles he is currently playing in the drama unfolding in Anambra state. This is a man i personally supported and hosted many times when he visited the US.

I hope he has already given up any hopes of becoming VeePee of anybody or even holding any position of trust in the country. I will use my sources to expose the millions of dollars in his undeclare foreign accounts. Some of the millions were in the Pandora publications but not all. Nigerians need to be informed appropriately about this man.

globemoney:

You idiots should shut up for once, Obiano is not the first Governor of Anambra and yet was expected to fix all Anambra problems Overnight. He has played his part, invested in many revenue generating assets that will boost the state revenue and provide more funds for the state to be able to afford good roads and other quality projects, again nothing will come out from the EFCC witch hunt as he served the state very well. You losers who dont understand governance need to shut up. And Onitsha is not the only city in Anambra
Exactly my point. Some one was playing logic with me and I asked the person, "all the ways Obiano paved for Anambra state, will the returns go into his account"

Latest on Anambra International Cargo & Passenger Airport Umueri

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxfIjAsZEqA

I’ll rate the airfield as an 8.5/10. It looks organized, especially with the CAT 3 ILS.

However, I’m not comfortable with the terminal building.
I feel Soludo could partner with the Chinese or Julius Berger to build a proper 5-10 million capacity terminal building equipped with no less than 8 avio bridges. The cost of constructing such a facility could be borne 80% by the contractor and 20% by ANSG, and it shouldn’t cost more than $35 million (even after accounting for inflation)

So our pple are so impressed with the executive order given against Agbero. At least the comments I have been reading on various Sm is on a positive note.

But I find it awkward that some pple are coercing the gov to engage the agberos with jobs and I lol grin.

We have graduates in Anambra state who are without govt jobs in d state and have decided to create jobs for themselves by being entrepreneurs but here we have some loud mouths saying the touts should be provided with jobs so that crime won’t be on d increase in the state grin

Agbero is a criminal act and shouldn’t be encouraged in our state...in fact, the act is alien to ndi Anambra. Anambrarians are hardworking pple...stop encouraging agberoism...let’s leave agberoism for pple of South west,that’s their way of life biko. Agberoism is stealing and not part of our culture. If govt decides to come in...they should be employed massively into ANS Waste ministry...these guys can be used as cleaners in d state...pack waste with govt trucks and get paid by govt. Most parts of the state is filled with dirt and garbage. We need a cleaner Anambra not touts hanging in every corner and discouraging outsiders from bringing money to us. Traders from all over d country shouldn’t be avoiding Anambra because of touts in Onitsha...we need them to come bring that money for our pple.

Say no to touting!
