The truth is that any car you buy less that 1m now will be very problematic. Hence you will likely spend 4days every week in the mechanic to keep it on the road. I hope u understood my point.

Also remove the mindset that you will repair it once because mechanics does not manufacture spares. And In the auto market, they will loose from A and sell to B wash the one from B very well and sell to C and the cycle continues. This is why you will buy a direct bulguim throttle mouth and the sensor will be bad. Go and buy the sensor, they will tell u that it's not a matching type or that you need to program it. Ask the mechanic to buy, he will replace from store with faulty one collect your money and tell u that you need to replace the engine. The story is on and on.

Unless you are a mechanic, do not go for that.

I was held back from calling you stupid as it's not in my habit to insult people online. But how else should we define a man looking for a convenient car with barely 400USD. I will advice you to take your money to the next available pepper soup joint and cool off please. We live to hustle another day. Don't buy a car that will end you....

300k for a car maybe ridiculous but less than a million(say 900k,800k,700k..e.t.c) will get a used vehicle that is still sound and drivable.

Thank you for your feedback.

As the prices dey do you, na so e dey do us.

Car prices here have gone through the roof due to low inventory and inflation. Then the least cost of shipping in 2022 is $1450 = N826,500. Then add clearing cost of N500k - N800k for a car of 2009 and below. The numbers just do not make sense.

Nevertheless we will keep trying different strategies to ensure that we are able to deliver at prices that give the common man hope.

Men! Just love your maturity.

How much will make me a proud owner of a 2008 Sienna 3.5L V6?

Will advice you ship the car in yourself, reasons
1. Most dealers in Nigeria often alter the milage on these cars, cos they are extremely reliable cars that they travel long miles.
2. You are more likely to by an accudented vehicle that you do not know the history, cos your dealer have done a good job in packaging it for you..

I wanted to get one, I eventually had to get it from the US myself it I saved so much

Most importers and their agents may not also be aware of the Federal government’s new tax regime, through the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) will begin the implementation of the new Supplementary Protection Measures (SPM) for the implementation of the ECOWAS Common External Tariff ( CET) 2022-2026.

The Federal government has granted 90 days grace for all importers to clear their goods from the ports, while the new tariff and tax regime takes effect from June 1, 2022.

@Adman, does this apply to imported cars aswell

That's the steady rod I think. It should be around 5-7k. This price is for last year October when I changed mine.

Hope u know that quoted price now has to go with date.

There is currently too much uncertainty around clearing cost. This is not how to run a country.

@Amdman,
In may 2019 and on this thread, you posted cars one can by for 1.2m or less .

In may 2022, less that 3yrs after, the same cars has gone up to 3.5m. that is 300% increase.
And unfortunately u are confused about the whole system and don't know how to help your followers here.
You don't want to quote price again as it can go to 500% and you will look as if you r not serious.
May be you will consider putting the heading as CARS FOR 3.5M OR MORE. because for you CAR FOR 1.2M OR LESS, The LESS here can never work in Nigeria.

You talk like someone that's ignorant of the realities in today's Nigeria.

Is Amdman the one responsible for the unstable naira against the dollar?

Is he the one responsible for the confusion at Lagos port?

Instead of blaming your country and yourself, you are looking for who to shift the blame to.

See, it's our collective loss if this guy isn't running this business again. Even though he gains from it, over time I've seen that he cares less about the business. That means he's doing something else to take care of his bills.

So, what exactly is your ranting?

Today, most of you are mobilizing for another catastrophe to happen to Nigeria after Buhari in the name of Tinubu. By 2024, you'll come back again to blame Amdman for not posting cars again.

We are not wise in this country at all.

I'm putting this car back up for sale.

My madam says it's a manly car and too heavy for her in the course of the school runs so I got her a Hyundai Elantra.

I changed all 4 shocks and springs on the car, brake pads, hydraulic cylinder, ABS, and some light bulbs.

It has not done 50kms with me.

It's a very cool ride with a wonderful engine.

It is a 2005 Mercedes Benz 230 Kompressor. A wonder on wheels in this class.
