PDPGuy:Drunk Obiano, built airport, which is under exclusive list) instead of liaising with Gov. Ugwuanyi of Enugu state to build Onitsha to Adani road which would have opened the vast undeveloped lands in those areas and benefited Anambra North LGA and Enugu North LGA simultaneously, and by extension, Anambra State. With this access road, the whole NORTH( Enugu and Anambra) would have felt the dividend of zoning system. A lost opportunity, if I may say |

Gov. Engr. Umahi of Ebonyi state is using less money to construct their entire airport which is looking like it is going to be biggest in Africa. How does he do it? He project manages it with his own local project managers, engineers and labours with him as the head project manager. Instead of using expensive rip off foreign colonialist construction companies like Julius Berger. Umahi could build this second runway for approx N7bn. Second Lagos MMIA terminal took 7 years to construct and looks like it would be dwarfed by the terminal buildings Umahi is building that would be commissioned this year after 3 years construction. Umahi for president ! |

gaspology:Not sure what you mean by exclusive list.I doubt you know what it is about . Anyone even individuals can build airports if they follow due process. Nothing stopping you building one if you can get the money |

FORUM OF ILLITERATES. A runway can cost that much and MORE, depending on a variety of factors, including ancillary infrastructure and resettlement of communities, the materials used (concrete runways costs twice as much as asphalt runways etc) The 92 billion naira (£167 million) price tag is actually on the low side for a major international airport. The recently built 3rd runway at Heathrow Airport, London cost an incredible 18 billion pounds sterling. https://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/off_belay/why_does_a_runway_cost_so_much-652097 |

ABV does not need a second runway. What they need is better air trafic management. How many flight land in that tiny airport? |
