However I feel its kind of an investment, cause I don't see why some one will waste huge amount of money on common pic that's of no use.

Modern day scam. Value lies in the eyes of the beholder. What you value at $300 may not worth a penny to me.

Digital assets...Just like we have painting of Monalisa by Da vinci as an art work/asset, if it were to be in digital, it goes to NFT stuffs.
