This is the moment Barrister Adebayo Shittu, former minister of Communication and a staunch supporter of Muhammadu Buhari and CPC, one of the legacy parties that fused together in 2015 to form APC showed his displeasure over the consensus arrangement adopted by APC at the national convention of the party. It is obvious that he was forced to step down for Chief Iyiola Omisore whose name featured in the widely circulated Unity list of APC.

Shittu took a soft punch at Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his statement of conceding to Omisore by deliberately giving respect to former governor of Ogun state, Olusegun Osoba as the first duly recognised Asiwaju. Tinubu is contesting to succeed Buhari in 2023. Does it mean the Buhari bloc in APC is against Tinubu's ambition

The candidates on the widely circulated Unity list may emerge eventually as Abdullahi Adamu, former governor of Nasarawa has been endorsed as the national chairman of APC at the ongoing 2023 national convention of APC.

These are the names in the widely circulated Unity list that is expected to pilot the new NWC members include:

2. Abubakar Kyari – Deputy National Chairman (North)

3. Ema Enaukwu – Deputy National Chairman (South)

Funny enough Olusegun Osoba is Tinubu’s man to the core.

It was Osoba and MOB from Tinubu’s camp that took him to the stage to step down. Maybe he wanted Tinubu to come and personally appeal to him to withdraw. He got his moment of fame on the stage and it’s all over. He would go back to wherever he crept out from and Omisore will resume as the National secretary of APC on Monday.
