Ahmadu Bello was more realistic when he admitted that the North was not ready for independence

Hmmm! He said So??

Even if we don't, I am sure there would have never being anything called boko haram today.
The free and compulsory basic education would have gone round the entire country

Pa Awo, the man who made a great mistake of unifying Nigeria. He later realised this mistake when it was already too late.

Exactly, he was the only visionary leader Nigeria has ever produced. He would've been successful if not for his too much love for south west and regional politics.

This is what differentiates him and Tinubu. Unlike Tinubu flexible/accommodating style, Awo political ideology is too rigid, conservative, and meritocratic for the then corrupt military government to have confidence in.
I have no problem with Awo but your last statement isn't correct. Awo was a major player in Gowon's government. He was one of the most powerful ministers under military leadership.

Another thing that differentiates them is that Awo did not fill public offices with his immediate family members.

It's a sacrilege to juxtapose Awo with Tinubu ; Tinubu should be compared with likes of Sugh Knight, Christopher Wallace, Pablo Escoba and others.

Awolowo and Azikiwe requested for independence at least 20 years too early

But they meant well
Ahmadu Bello was more realistic when he admitted that the North was not ready for independence

With hindsight even the South was not ready for independence at the time

You are right when you said the independence was too early.
Colonial masters should have been allowed to run the country for another 50 years.

Blacks don't understand what leadership entails.

I don't really believe that those that died were up to 3m. Where did they bury the 3m corpses?

Ibos like lying and exaggerating petty things.

Myopic. If UK had found oil in Nigeria u think they would have ever left? Leave trillions of dollars and go home? No way

The funny part is despite the Europeans stealing from us, they would have somehow still developed the oil industry compared to what we have now. Even the colonists in another country believed in development to bring profit. We Africans seek profit first before development in our own country. FEAR AFRICAN BUSINESSMEN.

Most things see on the island, most successful big companies you see at Ikoyi or Victoria Island, they're all handovers from Whites to Africans.

oil was found in 1957. UK left in 1960.
But Nigeria got independence not because of Zik or Awolowo but because of global events such as the second world war, the independence of India, the pressure from US and USSR for the end of colonialism. UK and France committed to leaving Africa in the 60s regardless of the economic cost to them
Your head get oil. cool

He was premier of south west
South east and north rigged him From central
How was he supposed to use south west money for other regions or do Y'all think before uttering this statement?
