Before his death, the “Oku Gbajie Aka” crooner had pleaded for financial help from prominent Nigerians and others.

Chinedu died after battling blood cancer.

The 39-year-old reportedly died in Abuja on Sunday afternoon.

It was gathered that he recovered from kidney disease and was expected to be transferred to India for treatment of the blood cancer.

Why I called you hero is that you started from nothing to something. You hawked for survival and later became very popular especially in the eastern part of Nigeria with your God given talent which was doing music, beautiful voice and good looks.

You planted your footprints on the sand of time, after all that's what life is about, living what we love.

It doesn't matter dying young or old what matters is the legacies you left behind which lives after you are gone. your music will forever live, passed down from generation to generation.

In as much as death is final to human existence, but your music will still be played by millions of your followers each time the want to listen to your sweet gospel melodies.

Death came, took you away like every other heroes before you but you played your part positively for minkind.

You are one of the example of a grace to grace story, gospel musician that brought glory, praise and adoration to God almighty.

You weren't perfect, nobody is. Irrespective of so many controversies which trailed your part when you were alive, it dosen't change the fact that you inspired the world to praise and dance unto the Lord, coupled with your faith lifting performance and songs that brought hope to Christians, your fans and listeners worldwide.

I salute you soldier for your ultimate contribution to mankind. We will never forget you. Rest well!
