Please what can make fuel gauge to be giving wrong reading. Sometimes when I have more than half tank fuel, and drive for some minutes the gauge will show that I am having 1/4 tank. If I park for some time and start driving again it will go back to the normal gauge of 1/2 tank. Please what can be the cause so that I can tell my Mechanic what to do. Car is 06 Camry.

I changed the fuel level sensor.. local mechanics call it floater.... It is in the fuel pump assy.

Good afternoon experts in the house, pls I have a nissan versa 2008 model, I noticed about 2 weeks ago that d oil had leaked out overnight so I called a mechanic, we discovered it was from the fuel filter cos it was lose, we filled the oil and tightened it but once we started the engine, all d oil gushed out, we've changed d filter about 5 times now and it's doing d same thing. D mechanic has tried to check everything thing he knows but no luck at all. Once we start d engine, oil will gush out and waste away from d filter point. I'm getting frustrated cos d car is my source of income and I'm extremely broke right now. Pls sirs, could u tell me what could be wrong

Please I got this 2013 Camry direct Belgium. The dealer changed the oil in Lagos with total quartz 5000. Can I still use Mobil 1 to replace the oil. I want to use the specified 0w20 oil.

I recently changed my car (Lexus RX350, 2007) engine oil with 6 Litres of Mobil 1 5W30 fully synthetic. Two days after the oil change, I noticed my check engine light was flashing. The car was taken to an auto-workshop immediately where the oil check was found to be extremely low, water was seen gushing out from the exhaust pipe and the car was difficult to start. The auto engineer concluded that the top cylinder gasket was burnt and some of the valves were bad after further check.
The mileage on the car was 180,420; no evidence of oil leakage and the vehicle was not smoky prior to the incident.

The top cylinder gasket and all the 24 valves were replaced. The car is currently running smoothly.
Oando oleum SL 20W50 was suggested to be used for a further oil change by the auto repairer.
Is the suggestion a wise one or not?

PS: The oil change prior to the incident was with the recommended Mobil 1 5w30, however oil shortage was noticed 2 weeks after its change and a top-up with 2 litres was done.

Thanks for your reply but my worry is the oil shortage on 2 different occasions while using Mobil 1. The last incident happened just 48 hrs after the oil change. I only drove it 4 times from Riverpark estate(Lugbe) to Garki Area 11 which is just about 25 minutes drive on the express.

Hmmm. So there is no oil shortage using the oleum? What is the amount of shortage in the 48hrs? Lugbe to garki is less than 25km.

The switch to Oando Oleum was done this week Monday and no evidence of shortage as of this morning.

The last shortage was noticed on 21/12/2021, the oil level then was not up to the lower dot on the oil dipstick. Six litres of Mobil 1 5W30 was used 2 days prior and I practically supervised the change.

And there is no leak from any part of the engine?
This is surprising. An engine that shorts oil, should with be leaking or burning oil.

Burning oil affect all kinds of oil.

It means the lighter oil is leaking somewhere and the thicker oil is not

Good evening sir , this evening as I went out , I pressed my break and started the car , I felt a vibration on the break pedal for some seconds then it stopped , when I wanted to come back , the same thing happened this time around I felt it up to the steering , note : this doesn't happen when I use the break on the way or on quick stops , cos I was stopped thrice by the police for normal paper check, I never felt the vibrations when I left after the paper check , I guess when I leave the car for a very long time it happens for some seconds or a minute then it stops ... Car is 2009 XLE toyota camry

sienna 2001 model.. my mechanic changed the drivers side shaft.. drove it around for 2days then boom the hub noise started like mad.. wat could be the issue.. was the hub faulty or did he do a shabby job which spoilt the hub. note hub was not bad prior to the shaft change.
