I dug up a few reports of the period in question, and from what i gather, Mazi Kanu rescinded IPOBs call for a boycott of the 2019 elections, saying their conditions for calling off the boycott had been met. AT NO POINT DID HE SAY THE SECESSIONIST BID HAD BEEN CALLED OFF! Of course he didn't mention who made the concessions to IPOB, but it's clear whoever they were, that they reneged on the agreement reached and this may explain why Mazi Kanu became more strident on his radio Biafra broadcasts.
