Bro if you follow football very well, just take PSG as an example, they sacked Tuchel who took them (PSG) to the final of UCL only for them to hire Pochettino who has never won anything in his career... see the results now, Tuchel and Chelsea are the current Champions of Europe while PSG are in pains

Was there any target this man didn't meet...this man took us from the scraps after a local coach undecided, Sunday Oliseh dismantled the team into pieces. He made us good again, he made us believe, he brought the best out of players like Iwobi, Iheanacho, Ighalo, etc...we qualified to the "2018 WC Russia" in style beating the then Africa champions Cameroon 4-0 at home, beating Algeria 3-1 at home also.

We also played well in the WC compared to other African teams, although we didn't make it out of the group stage (solely because of Argentina and Messi) but we played with confidence.

We also played well in the 2019 AFCON but we were just unlucky to finish third after losing in the semi finals to eventual winners Algeria. The fact that Nigeria was one of the favourites to win this year's AFCON was because of what Rohr's side did in the past.

Now we the officially the laughing stock of Africa that 1-0 win against Egypt was a curse in disguise.
Corruption

DeGLORIOUS:
The choice of national stadium for the match was a big mistake. Nigeria has not win any meaningful competition there
try n look for another excuse dis one is not convincing
Re: What Was The Problem With Rohr by Damick1: 8:37pm On Mar 29, 2022
Na bad belle.they want to be the coach that's why they are shouting Nigeria should have a local coach.
Re: What Was The Problem With Rohr by Temi2468: 8:38pm On Mar 29, 2022
Nigeria's problem is beyond a 90mins match we're watching on TV. It's a reflection of a failed state. Even a blind man knew Eguavoen could have changed to a 4-4-2 formation in the 2nd leg which Nigeria was always known for in the days of Okocha and Kanu. Common sense should tell him that the only striker we had had no goal scoring chances because he was out-marked by two players. He would have started him with Ighalo from first half.

Nigeria....hmmm....painful and avoidable things.

Modified:
As for your question, that Eguavoen was woeful did not still justify that Rohr was good. He was getting really poorer after the world cup as he lacked technical skills.

Let's not get too used to mediocrity that we call average good because of some few results. Our problems have always been judging by results only even when quality is dying and the foundational structure is eaten up, until a day the whole building collapses.

Campaign after election.
Rohr must be laughing his head off.

If you want to achieve anything, people like Amaju Pinnick and his band of idiots must first go before anything.
It seems the NFF is corrupt and not the best of Nigerian players are given opportunity to play.
Those foreigners or foreign-based players have the money to lobby for playing time if need be. Watch today's sub when win is needed and Musa and Ighalo were introduced. What does that tell you?

When I said Rohr would have done best rin the Afcon and the wc qualifiers, some guys here said, we glorifying the whiteman. Rohr have us results, but we may not hv played so good.

OK now, we have another coach, Afcon we lost in the 2nd round.

We couldn't qualify for the WC.

We definitely didn't play better than when Rohr was in charge.

So now it's to face nations cup again be that.
Re: What Was The Problem With Rohr by ppogba: 8:38pm On Mar 29, 2022
Throwing away a four goal lead against a minnow like Seirra Leone is enough to be a problem for any coach.

Staying as long as he stayed without a silverware is enough to be a problem.

Always saying Nigeria is not amongst the favorite at the commencement of major competitions is enough to be a problem.

If the Super Eagles were to be Chelsea FC, he would not have stayed a quarter of the time.

Good riddance...
Re: What Was The Problem With Rohr by Adakintroy: 8:40pm On Mar 29, 2022
Many Nigerian are very unrealistic I swear. Imagine how everything fell apart in just a short while. If not broken don't fix it says the white man.

This guy was winning games. We qualify top in our group and went nations cup. Just like that. The foot bal was practical and we were getting the needed result. But we wanted to thrash team. Wanted pretty football. This delusion of grandeur about ourselves is what is killing us.

To play great football you need great players. Ours are uniquely average players. Yes there is one osimen and ndidi. But they are not exactly playing for real or baca or p.SG or man city/ Chelsea. So if this player are not exactly top tier players were did we get the notion or expectation of them performing at top notched level or overwhelming teams regularly. Jus take ur win and scram. Na plain delusion De worry us.

See us now. Everything this guy work for in the last yrs crumble like pack of cards in a space of few months. If its not broken don't fix it.

Giant of Africa na just prophetic declation. We never reach there yet. Make we learn De humble ourselves. This one na good lesson.

Rohr is laughing now clearly. Shame on our f.a.

Wish Ghana. well they deserve the win. Back to the drawing board for us. Another long four yrs await. I will watch the world cup force myself enjoy it. Wish all teams the best

if Rohr was in charge today, the defeat would have been landslide for Nigeria cool
Rohr is an average coach coaching an average team to achieve an average result.

Rohr was never the problem.

Nigeria is stacked with mediocre footballers, there’s nothing Rohr could have done.

World Class Players deliver when u need them, like Mane does for Senegal, Salah for Egypt and Partey today for Ghana.
I still believe in Rhor. The players are good and Rhor knows how best to handle them

People like you are the reason Nigeria will continue to be useless. You reason with your anus to use Buhari in your comparison. Tell me the leader that has broken the worst record in the world than Buhari.

How do you lots just make hasty conclusions?
Because of the reality on ground. All this local coaches missed out of world cup twice before Rohr came in, Rohr came at his first attempt he took us to Russia, he got bronze at last Nations cup, took us to play offs for the world cup qualifier...but jealousy and destructive criticism by useless old selfish players, pundits, journalist destroyed alot of things...

Rohr is vindicated now abeg, no other word, we couldn't even win a single knock out stage at Nations cup, now we re back to factory settings, no world cup. Shame on Nigerians

He doesn't need 100 years to get us to Russia World cup and bronze at the nation's cup, play offs in our world cup qualifier, he had a good runs of wins during his time with less than 100 years sir.
