I don't usually hype potential signings but if I do just take it.

This guy has a similar playing style with Dusan Vlahovic who we missed when he chose to join Juventus instead. Why I am particularly for him is because he is right footed unlike Vlahovic. We need a right footed centre forward as most of our attacking players are lefties.

He is a very good striker, can dribble, can run with pace on the ball, can shoot.

He can ginger and do all those Lacazette stuffs that makes Jodera love him, plus he scores grin grin grin
You mean he is good at interplay with midfielders and attackers, have high work rate as well as scoring goals?? grin

Rumor is happening that arsenal is looking towards Rashford.

What do you guys think?
Wise choice or not?

Good player but if Cech and Willian has taught me anything, players from rival teams don't try to put extra for us. The look down on us always. Is a no no

Actually, if this is his only problem while he still provides goals, then I think he's perfect for us then. It means we can have a fluid front 3 where him and martinelli can easily interchange the CF roles during matches.

Moreso, he can still even be improved on since he's still young

Lol .. you didn't factor in the age of Willian and cech when they came here?

Rashford is just 24yrs and still have a lot to offer and his future that he wouldn't have time to be thinking low about us as a club.

The thing I'm just worried about is his injuries and decision making. But aside that, not a bad player overall

Two reasons why I don't want him at Arsenal :

1. He's a politician. His off the field interests may affect his on field performance and I don't want that for my club. We saw how Ozil's political/religious affiliations didn't go down well with the top hierarchy of the club.

2. His wages are not commensurate with his productivity on the pitch.

Remember, these two are from Chelsea. We can't use them to judge others.

A no no for me. While Rashford may want to prove his doubters wrong, especially United, he will struggle with a lot of emotions playing for Arsenal. Playing for another club after spending the bulk of your career, including academy and developmental stages requires an elevated level of motivation to succeed. Only few players went on to dominate, Sol Campbell comes to mind. Players like Rashy may struggle with a sense of belonging and identity if they join another rival. He may thrive if he joins a team that is not considered a rival.

Injuries: Rashford has struggled with niggling injuries because of the heavy minutes he has played since become a professional. These injuries have affected his confidence and while a change of environment might improve his confidence, it may also do the opposite. Remember, since this season Arteta has relied on a trim squad which is working in comparison to when he first came in and was navigating a big squad. Arteta also conducts one of the most intense training sessions in the league, I don’t know how well Rashy will cope.

3. Pay: We have done a great job in shedding useless contracts, bringing Rashy would mess everything up. I have always maintained that going forward, players have to earn contracts not because of one magical season but at least 2.

4. Missing chances: I don’t know if I can categorize him as a clinical forward player. If he joins Arsenal, I imagine he would the CF in a fast, fluid, transition based tactic. I have seen this man miss open scoring chances, over run plays and make very poor decisions with the ball, so I am not too confident in his efficiency.

I feel your first 3 points are very valid esp the first one(the blending part away from his usual environment). His injuries and pay are another two big issues I'm skeptical about his signings, but if is about missing chances I don't really mind cos I believe that can be worked and improved on especially as he's still young

I agree with all your points except 4, Rashidi is more clinical and have been clinical than our forward presently only auba can make me think otherwise

The only problem I have with signing Rashford is his salary. He is a big earner. With his salary we will have pressure on him to perform, to start games etc. We do not want another Pepe really. It's better we have a low pay striker aiming to get to high pay than vice versa.

I too can't wait. There will be many young prospect hoping to convince us to sign them. We will get two more strikers, one from South/Latin America is a must, another from mainland Europe, or British (especially the African breed- we have Nketiah) wink

Nigeria stadium Abi pitch is a disgrace. If I'm one of the players, I won't apologize at all. It's a different ball game if it's an away stadium not a home stadium where we ought to be looking at having the best advantage and environment.

I wanted to blame the players for our ouster but nah... None is at fault. That pitch was nonsense!!
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 10:31pm On Mar 29, 2022
Our nation's midfield dominance lacked an ndidi and it showed in both legs. Even the people that replaced him where found wanting as the ghosted both legs(bonke, onyeka and etebo).

This is the main reason why I'm always praying and hoping Partey does not have any injury. Our season fit scatter like 2008 own oo
