Viable24: That has been their modus operandi sir They bribe the national assembly every year to keep business afloat, else by right;we aren't supposed to pay more than 1k for full subscription a month. |

Funny me, with a glance I thought it was "Tinibu Stops Multichoice from increasing Tariffs". |

Honestfrend: The people who keep shouting for 'pay per view' imagine that they'd be charged N100 to watch Man City play Arsenal. When they charge you people the proper N1k per match, you will decide for yourself if you want to do PPV or continue with the bouquet. |

Truth be told, anyone claiming the Dstv price hike is exploitative is a crazy person. You understand that price of egg goes up Because of diesel price increase, falling exchange rrate and increase in price of animal feed. You understand that price of bread will go up because of increasing prices of wheat. You know diesel price is going up because of increasing oil price. Yet you expect to keep paying for premium TV content at the same naira rate while exchange rate is rising, knowing well that the content is licensed in USD. Also while knowing that diesel price for operations is increasing. Multichoice already charges the lowest I've ever seen for premium sports content. For under $30 a month, along with the movie, music and news stuff, you get EPL, UCL, formula one and every single PPV Boxing and UFC match. Also get every tennis tournament, the world cup etc. This is less about Dstv being exploitative and more about you and your country being poor. Learn the difference. 2 Likes |

unite4real: Tribunals can’t do that unless a party approaches the court with such motion. |

hilltop007: You can approach the court with that motion. |

Hammyaladin: There is no "pay as you watch" in South Africa. Or Kenya. Or Ghana. Multichoice has no "pay as you watch" options in any country. They have a number of bouquets you can choose depending on what you can afford. It's not an essential service and it's not by force to patronize them and you don't get to dictate how they should run their business. Especially in a useless country with a very hostile business climate like Nigeria where most businesses are on life-support. If you want the government to "fight" against exploitation, tell them to get the cement manufacturing cartel to reduce their prices. Or tell them to force farmers, food distributors and traders to reduce their food prices. 3 Likes 1 Share |

texazzpete: Most of them have no clue how pay-per-view TV works. They think cable subscription should be like purchasing airtime recharge cards. Just absolutely clueless. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Multichoice price hike was just waiting to happen.. and if with everything happening in Nigeria continues, and they still allowed the price hike to go on, then it will clearly be another sign that Nigeria is far gone https://archive.org/details/latest-ngnews-googlenews-rectangulart-logo Meanwhile pls follow latestNGnews for latest nija new updates |
