I have been using my Toyota for years and my friend with Honda civic visit mechanic regularly

Only Honda halla, Honda accord, Honda academy, Honda baby boy etc are notorious for joint pulling.

Most of you guys think all honda cars are the same.

The only advantage of most corolla cars over Honda is the resale values and it boils down to maintainance. You can still get good sale on your used Honda car if you don't rough handle it.

But I think corolla is more rugged than Honda since you are using it for uber and bolt.

The Honda civic doesn't pull legs in local parlance.

The only category of hondas that suffered from this were the Honda accord, and that error was fixed by Honda in the 08 variant.

sometimes 6months I might not go to mechanic except when I needed to general service of my car but my friend is now best friend to his mechanic because of regular fault



Toyota don't disappoint, very rugged and it had second value, even Golf had second hand value than Honda


I once drove pencil light Camry with no shock absorber in the two back legs from Ikorodu to Agege and came back to ikorodu from Agege and I didn't have any issues on the road

Civic 2011 anytime. Don't let them deceive you with Toyota. Those things are nonsense, body be like plastic and the parts are extremely expensive. And also the car could be stolen anytime because of high demand

Every car is prone to pulling its legs if neglected for a long time, but saying Honda civic has a predominant history of pulling legs is a big lie.

I don't even do Japanese anymore, but when I did, Honda trumps Toyota in handling, engine and interior.

Guess my long r/ship with Toyota informed my obvious bias but will look into the interior & AC like you pointed out.

The only advantage the Corolla has over the Civic is the ability to withstand scratches and bullies on its body, that's why it's rugged and good for Bolt

The Civic has cheaper engine and cheaper parts

With Civic, you're guaranteed to get a tokunbo engine, but Corolla engine tokunbo are scarce, most of the engine's are either reworked or outrightly ringged

If you're paying 3.5 million for the Corolla 2010 and am paying 2.5 million for Civic 2011

Note am buying the more recent

If you're selling your Corolla after 3 years for 2.2 million and am selling my Civic after 3 years for 1.2 how the hell should you call that better second hand/resale value when clearly the Corolla was costlier and we're both running at loss of 1.3 million each?

I have seen Toyota and golf cars that pulled joint on the road side. But they are not 'common'.

Occasionally you will come across cars with this issue of joint pull including honda civic but they are not 'common' compared to other Honda brands.
