E get one bolt agent wey go come tell you say the fares are very okay even if litre be 250.

Meanwhile bolt just added ₦72 increment on fares!

... N72 increment only after driving more than 20km.

I read that mail and I shook my head. Less than N100 increment after 20km is why they made so much huge announcement.

Thanks a lot .
I ask them to pay because I found out that fare prices are considerably small and fuel is now expensive

Listen now, even if a litre of fuel is 1m naira, don't ask riders to pay ahead of the trip until the end of the trip when the app brings the total fare.

I understand your concerns, but you risk been blocked, Its either you are doing it offline and offering your price or you just stick to collecting the metered payment reading, you can't be online on a trip and collect a sum different from what the app showed after the trip, if the rider report you bolt/Uber will take actions against you.

What if the ride is a card payment, will you ask the rider to make an additional payment?

I guess you didn't carryout a proper due diligence before joining the hustle.

Your current approach is wrong and if you stick to it, just know your days are numbered especially with bolt and Uber.

Lols...which year will naija used Corolla be worth 3.4m? Many many years to come
If toos Corolla is too expensive, people will just buy other types of cars, Corolla is not the only car that can be used for ehailing. So it's not an advantage in any way.
Moreover if u sell ur Corolla 1.7m like Felicity advertised, will it not be enough to buy 2 Civics like Tojah advertised? That's two cars in the place of one. So as people do away with their Corollas it's more cars coming into ehailing. That's what I think

Can you give examples of these other type of cars bearing in mind that there are people like myself who will never buy any other car not foreign used for ehailing. The same thing that will make Tokunbo corolla more expensive will also make the alternatives more expensive. In Nigeria of today, it is almost impossible to import any car for less than 2m.

People will divert the money they would have used to buy vehicles on ehailing to other ventures with better ROI which will result in less vehicles coming into ehailing

They want to start intercity rides here after refusing to profile their riders, this is a death trap for drivers, that road no safe at all.

I once said it here that I'm always wary of riders whose both pickup and drop off points are public places. Most of them are criminals who don't want to be traced

This people want to kill transportation business in Nigeria pkatapkata... Can you imagine.

PH to Owerri take for instance maybe 1500 per seat for local buses and taxi without AC so a driver that plys that route can make say 10k for a one way trip then like 20k for a return trip. Now bolt will charge 3k-4500 abd the driver may not have a trip back also the rider would want you to pick them from their hoise and drop them at their destination with full AC. Most of these riders will be family size of 5 or even 6 with loads and bolt with drivers score would want you to go on such trip else your score reduces.

Riders would not want to do offline due to security reasons and bonus as that's the only mail bolt usually send to educate them on also because they know offline would be more.

See yellow cab today are suffering as a result of ehailing.

If this public road transporters don't c9me together to fight this move by Bolt hmm... With time their business worth billions of dollars will die within 5yrs. because sooner or later nobody would want to share a bus or car with a stranger on a journey.

Kontinuu.

You will use the car do kabukabu at last when UberBolt hammers you.

If you cant abide by their pricing and AC rules, you have the freedom to convert the car to taxi and set your rules and pricing.

Except you want to limit car entrance to tokunbo cars, nawadays maybe only 20% of cars entering ehailing are tokunbo.
This is basically because of the price of tokunbo cars. And like u rightly pointed, it's not wise to invest 3m and get 120k monthly when ur capital isn't 3m anymore the moment u register the car.
But if u get a good naija used car it will serve just as good as a toks. If u still insist on toks then u can settle for any four-plug, max 2.4litre engine car. Such as Kia, Hyundai, Mazda 3, Volvo S40, Benz C200 Kompressor, Peugeot, Audi, Passat etc just forget anything Toyota and Honda. Although Toyota Avensis is also a good car and cheaper than Corolla of same year, u can check it out.

Innovation and technology are disruptive.
Go and ask Kodak how business, ask Post Office how far, ask companies that where making typewriter how market.
Technology is changing the world for good.
When driver-less cars come fully onboard nobody will need drivers either, even Uber is investing billions on research and development of that technology.
So my point is don't be caught on the other side of change, nobody can withstand it.
