What I would have done is to stay neutral between the West and Russia and let them face their wahala. Then capitalise on their disagreement to advance the interest of my people.

You may need to read the history of this crisis from 10 years back. Go beyond the false narrative of "oh, Ukraine was minding its own business hehe and Russia wants to control it".

Up to the last minute before the war, Ukraine only needed to do what it is now running kitikiti to do, and its life would been as sweet as that os those that tricked it into a war to achieve some edge over Russia. In this war, Ukraine is the lower big time. People are jubilation that Russia is withdrawing as if Russia went in there to stay forever as it is in the western propaganda. Look, Russia went there to dismantle some western machineries of war and it has achieved its aim. If in the rebuilding of Ukraine they go back into reassembling war arsenals, Putin or whoever is in Russia at that time will still go back there and try to defend itself and the foolish loser will be the host of the western arsenals.

Pls read the history of the crisis between the West and Russia. It didn't start today like we are usually made to think. This is a point in their long history.

Ukraine should have asked Georgia before getting into this needless mess.

A retreat is a retreat. The optic of this war us very bad for Russia. This war only shows that Russia is not the super power they claim to be. They have a vast array of weapons but they have shown very poor strategic capacity.

Whatever he claims are now his objective are simply after the fact. you don't send thousands of troops and hardware deep into a foreign country only to have them retreat after taking unexpected losses and try to hide under a negotiations point. The position from Ukraine is retreat then we proceed with talks. Missiles can only do so much damage but then that's it.

Putin has also seen that Western defence weapons are extremely effective and that is without the big guns yet. His crase never reach.

The west always play the long game. Everything he opposed against NATO and the west is exactly what he is getting. NOW "NATO" is poised near him. What stops Ukraine from building a massive military after this. And the new arms race that has begun.
Russia will be outspent out developed and worn out due to sanctions. The gang up already going on will only grow.
He has exposed himself and Russia to Western manipulation. It will be hard to get out of this. Russia may form alliances with the likes of Iran,china, Syria etc but they are already countries very prone to sanctions and have no sure footing or long term strategic influence.

Let's see how things unfold

It's negotiations sir. Both sides place demands. No one goes begging. Why do you think little progress has been made in talks. Even the issue of NATO and Neutrality too so long before Ukraine eventually conceded.
You argue from a position of strength even when the demand seems unrealistic and you push for as much as you can get (even if the position seems stupid - do try have a conversation without insult)

What Putin did is completely wrong, but it is the way of them all. They are all selfish and bullies, including the US, UK, EU, NATO. Even China sef with their wayo.
