I only sent a mail to Accra VO explaining why I wouldn't be able to meet the deadline and an extension was granted. Didn't attach any documents.

Thank you for your response.

Was Accra your VO ?

Because mine is CIO Sydney, would I still send the mail to Accra since I'm sending my documents to Lagos VFS.

Yes. My VO was Accra, so I suggest you send to your VO. You can also copy Accra since they'll be the ones to stamp the passports.

Good day all, we just got into Edmonton a week ago and we are really in need of a job. Any tips on what to do differently? We have adjusted our resume to canada standard. We are in licensed profession so we just need any job pending when we are done with the licensing process.

Thanks a lot for your feedback

In Ontario,

1. you go for your G1 test first which is done on the computer(make sure you read your driving manual and there are lots of websites where you can do a mock test)

2. Once you pass your test, you can register for a G2- road test or G road test. P.S to register for G2 or G, you must submit a copy of your naija licence and letter of proof of years of driving given to you by FRSC in order not to wait for 12months before taking the road test and you must always be accompanied by someone with G2 or G class before you can drive if you have just G1.

3. You road test is anytime btw 15mins to 30mins depending on your instructor. G2 is mostly for driving in the neighborhood that doesn't involve you driving on the highway/express but if you must, you need yo have someone with G class license to be in the same car with you while with G-class license, you can drive anywhere on your own.

4. Before taking G2 or G, try to do practice drive with an instructor to give you an idea of what is expected.

Others can chip in or correct me if I'm wrong.

P.S Ignore the blunders, can't proofread now.

This letter of proof of driving from FRSC, is there a number of years of driving experience needed in Ontario Or can someone with just a year of Nigerian driving experience still use it

Oga na to start from G1 be that.

G1 online test - wait 12 months before going for G2 road test but you can drive with supervision (my partner drove with G1 alone, mistakenly didn't stop at the stop signing was caught plus he forgot his car insurance slip at home but showed officer on his phone, oga police no gree oooo he was slammed almost $800 and he lost 3 demerits point. Insurance company couldn't insure him for 3 years) abeg no ask me if he dey drive ooooo tongue

I think a year is ok. I'm not sure though. Maybe others can chip in.
