These are the finishing pictures of the painting of @ The next.
The paints are produced and supplied by me.
I bet anyone one can't distinguish it from imported brands.
I appreciate the client for the opportunity given.

Beautiful work. Kudos, bro. A couple of questions, if you don’t mind.

1) What’s the name of the colour, circled in green?
2) What type finish is used in the picture (flat matte, satin, et al)?
3) For a custom paint requirement from a prospective client, how do we specify the desired lightness needed. Do you work with LRV?
4. In this project, did you supply the painter also?

Gracias.

The color was chosen from a dulux color chart, I can't recall what it was called.
Silk was used in the building. I only color samples for color matching.
The client supplied the painter, although I've recommended him for a job and possibly another one.

Thanks, bro. I have seen some unsightly paint jobs and then this lovely work you need. What’s the primary determinant of the output quality (for interiors)? Is it the type of finish (silk vs matte, for example)? The quality of the paint itself? Or other reasons?

You need a properly screeded wall and smoothly sandpapered to give a smooth finish first.
The type of paint you use determines the output.
Matte would give you a smooth finish with low sheen, satin and silk would give you a smooth finish with sheen.
Any of the paint wouldn't look smooth and nice if applied on unscreeded or poorly screeded wall.

Thank you. Quite insightful. What about the effect of the paint brand itself? For example, we have Spanish vs Nigerian tiles. Is there a similar distinction in paint products?

I can only speak for my brand. I use the best quality chemicals to give premium finish.

The premium emulsion or matte if slight sheen is desired.
Matte: N28000
Premium emulsion: N16000
Satin: N35000
Silk: N45000

What types were used here? Let me rephrase: which of them on your list up there would give this level of finishing?

It could be silk or satin. Looks more like silk though. Similar sheen but thicker film coat.

Which would give me a smoother finishing? I have an already screed and painted wall (dirty now). Originally painted with satin. I want to a smoother finishing. I'm thinking matte. What do you advise?

1. Do we need to sandpaper it again before painting?
2. I saw your thread on spray painting. Will that give a better finishing than the roller based one?

Matte is not as smooth as satin and silk.
It doesn't need to be sandpapered unless the paint isn't smooth on application.
Spray application is generally more smoother than regular painting as roller mark is eliminated.

There are already roller marks from the previous paint job. How do we gt rid of that? Sandpapering?

Best to leave it as it is. The subsequent coats would cover the marks.
